Makeup Picture Day Scheduled
For anyone that missed Picture Day, a Makeup day has been scheduled for Sunday June 1st from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cassidy Field. Forms will be available at the field.
Tondorf/Sizzler Tryouts Announced
The initial tryouts for the Tondorf and Sizzler summer All Star teams have been scheduled for Saturday, May 17th. These mandatory tryouts will be held at Cassidy Field as follows:
Saturday, May 17th
7:45 am MYB 9 Year Olds (Playing as a 9 year old in AA)
9:00 am MYB 10 Year Olds (Playing as a 10 year old in AAA)
10:15 am MYB 11 Year Olds (Playing as a 11 year old in AAA/Majors)
11:30 am MYB 12 Year Olds (Playing as a 12 year old in Majors)

2008 Tondorf/Sizzler Tryouts
Medway 2008 Babe Ruth Registration
Registration Deadline is May 19th
Medway participates in the Tri-Valley Babe Ruth Summer Baseball League. This is a semi-competitive league consisting of 12 surrounding towns. The season starts Sunday, June 8th and ends the first week of July. Playoffs begin July 13th and Finals begin July 27th. The league is divided into two divisions: Minors and Majors. The Minor League (13 year olds) plays on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. The Major League plays on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, along with Sunday afternoons. Each team normally plays 14 games. League rules stipulate that a player must participate in at least 9 games to be eligible for the playoffs. The league also requires that the individual towns balance the talent amongst the teams so as to not create “All Star” teams. There are league minimum requirements of six outs in the field and at least one at bat and these are enforced by Tri-Valley baseball. Because the talent levels in the league are usually high these minimums can and most likely will be utilized at the discretion of the individual managers to meet the competition.
Age requirements:

Minor League: He or she must not turn 14 before April 30th, 2008

Major League: He or she must not turn 17 before April 30th, 2008
