Playoff schedule will have to be completely revised because of all the rainouts. Check back for updates. With this predicted bad weather be prepared to play any day the fields are dry enough. It is also likely that games will have to be scheduled during the McGlynn/Andrews 8th grade trip to NYC on June 8, 9 & 10. Players please report to your team manager if you will be attending the McGlynn/Andrews NYC 8th grade trip.
SUMMER BABE RUTH LEAGUE REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTIL FRIDAY JUNE 15th. Click the Summer League link to the left for more info. Summer Babe Ruth is open to any player age 12 - 15 as of May 1st 2012. Summer League coaches and a coordinator are needed. Players selected for the Babe Ruth Allstars and the Tompkins teams as well as new players are also eligible to register for the Summer Babe Ruth League. Summer League is planned to start games on June 25th and kick off with a week long free clinic conducted by David Valdez of 1st Place Sports Complex and Valdez Academy.
13 and 15 year old Allstar teams have been selected by the managers. The managers will be contacting the players over the next several days. The 14 year old team has not yet been selected as there is no manager yet. Steve Woodman has offered to coach the team if there are others who can handle the paperwork. So anyone insterested in helping with the 14 year old Allstar team please contact league president, Stephen Pompeo at 781-391-1630 or stephen@pompeoinsurance.com.

OPENING DAY 2012
4/14/12 - marked the start of another Opening Day for Babe Ruth Baseball here in Medford. The weather was on our side for a fantastic day of games. The first pitch of the season was thrown out by Medford High School Varsity Baseball coach Mike Nestor before the 10am game between the Mets & Nationals at Barry Park.
We were fortunate enough to have a few other sponsors on hand to throw out first pitches before a few other games on the day as well. Mark Johnson - Community Ambassador for Modell's Sporting Goods threw out the fist pitch before the 3pm game at Barry Park between the White Sox & Rangers and Dave Deveney owner of Oak Grove Memorial threw out the first pitch before the 3pm game at Playstead Park between the Orioles & Angels.
