Medford Babe Ruth League: Welcome
Despite the conflicts with the high school and vacation schedules we were able to get in all of tonight's games except the Nationals/Cubs. The league is looking into why no one from the Nationals showed up. Apologies to the Cubs players. Everyone please enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend. Makeup games continue next week and the playoffs will start next weekend.
Friday May 25th
Nationals/Cubs (NL) - Barry 5:30
Red Sox/Orioles (AL) - Morrison 5:30* (likely delayed start due to HS games)
Royals/Rangers (AL) - Hickey 5:30* (likely delayed start due to HS games)
Whitesox/Angels (AL) - Playstead 5:30* (possible delayed start due to HS games)
*Note: The MHS JV and Freshman are playing makeup games at Hickey and Morrison parks. This will likely cause a delayed start to the Babe Ruth AL games and games will likely play until dark. If called due to darkness the final score will be the score at the end of the last complete inning.
The Mets, Braves and Astros do not have games so those players are available for subs

OPENING DAY 2012
4/14/12 - marked the start of another Opening Day for Babe Ruth Baseball here in Medford. The weather was on our side for a fantastic day of games. The first pitch of the season was thrown out by Medford High School Varsity Baseball coach Mike Nestor before the 10am game between the Mets & Nationals at Barry Park.
We were fortunate enough to have a few other sponsors on hand to throw out first pitches before a few other games on the day as well. Mark Johnson - Community Ambassador for Modell's Sporting Goods threw out the fist pitch before the 3pm game at Barry Park between the White Sox & Rangers and Dave Deveney owner of Oak Grove Memorial threw out the first pitch before the 3pm game at Playstead Park between the Orioles & Angels.
Once again we thank all of our 2012 Sponsors as we couldn't do this with out them: Modell's Sporting Good, ERA Andrew Realty, Tibbett's Landscaping Inc, Salvatore's Medford, Oak Grove Memorial Inc, Go Power Inc, John Brewers Tavern, Rotary Club of Medford, Medford Firefighters Local 1032, Fitness Together Medford, McCall Trucking Inc, Dello Russo Funeral Homes, League Direct, Century 21 Advance, Insidemedford.com
