Explanation Regarding Bases
NOTE To All District 4 Blues:
Bases 1st, 2nd and 3rd must be able to disengage from their anchor. If those bases cannot disengage and a WAVIER from L.L. cannot be produced (allowing games to be played on that field) then the Blues along with the League are 100% liable should anything happen to a player while you are Umpiring and it is proved that you know what the rule calls for in regard to the bases.

New D4 Umpire Hat
A new Umpire hat for District 4 Umpires is now available and on sale at the Sports Stop in Sanford. Cost: $10.00 Call 324-4884 FMI.
D4 Umpire Patch Orders
Orders are now being taken for District 4 Umpires Patches and the District Tournament Umpire "Rocker" that goes over the patch.
This patch was introduced last year by Dennis Whall and is now to be part of our uniform. Placement is recommended on the left front pocket.
Please email Steve Endsley with the number of patches and rockers you wish to purchase, your address, and arrangements will be made to get them to you. We expect them to arrive within 10 days.
Checks are being accepted for your orders now.
D4 Round Patch: $2.00
Dist Tnmt Rocker: $1.00
Note: The State Tournament rockers are not available yet. We had to place a minimum order of 200 for each patch, and we do not hav eenough folks needing them to warrant a purchase at this time. Stay tuned.
D4 Umpire Training Class
March 23, at Sanford HS, room 211, D4 will host its annual umpire rules refresher seminar. Time: 6:30pm - 9pm
Host: Dennis Whall and the D4 Staff (minus Dr. Cote, on assignment in warm CA)
New D4 Umpire Patch Revealed
At the end of season umpire party, outgoing UIC Dennis Whall introduced the new District 4 Umpire patch.
The patch will be worn on the uniform on the left side of the shirt on the pocket, or where the pocket is supposed to be.
This patch was designed from the Regional and World Series pins designed by Doug Trepp, John Cote, and Steve Endsley at a Sunday morning breakfast in mid-May.
The patches are being produced now for the next season. For more information on how to get these for your uniform, please email a Board member.
