MILITIA ADVANCED HELD BY VA CHARGERS 10 - 6 THE BATTLE LINES HAVE BEEN DRAWN
TEAM MILITIA held the league poster boys to only 10 points in their first meeting. The game was a defensive struggle as neithers offenses could generate much of an attack. VA's QB kept them in the game scrambling for yardage while being chased by the vounted Militia defense, who so far has averaged only giving up a tottal of 6 points per game. The Militia offense showed some bright spots with running backs Daronte' Bennette and Sheldon Campbell chewing big chuncks of yardage on a couple of runs. But defense was the call of the day, as the game see sawed all evening ending in a 10 to 6 Va Chargers victory. Whew! was the expression on the VA Players and Coaches faces as the left Franklin Stadium. GOOD GAME MILITIA!!!!!!!!!

MILITIA EXPOSE THE PHANTOM
The Maryland Militia played their second game on the road Saturday against the Baltimore Phantom. The running game proved to be too much for the Phantom defense, as Running Backs Daronte Bennette, Steven Hodge, Sharnorm Young, & Sheldon Campbell smashed through the Phantom defense time and again. The Malitia scored on their first possion on a TD run from RB Daronte' Bennette. But the Phantom answered with a Kick return run for a TD run to tie the game. The Militia came right back in their next possesion and scored on a TD run from RB Sheldon Campbell. The Militia passing attack was led by QB Lew Lahay who released a 40 yd. catch and run to WR Andre' Gibson and another 18 yarder to WR Sean Lipscomb. The Militia Defense then took over scoring on a fumble recovery in the end zone, which left The Phantom (a relatively young team) reeling. In all the Militia running backs rushed for 191 yds. and QB Lew Lahay threw for 136 yds. The Militia face the Duanted VA. Chargers next week at home at Franklin High School.

THE OFFENSE LED BY QB LEW LAHAY SCORED ON RUNS BY RB'S SHELDON CAMPBELL AND DARONTE' BENNETTE. ENDING THE SCORING WITH A 75 YD CATCH AND RUN BY WR SEAN "GO GET IT" LIPSCOMB

MILITIA SIGN O LINEMEN "BIG" GEORGE WASHINGTON, DARRNELL "HAM" HAMMOCK
The Maryland Militia are proud to announce the signing of O linemen George Washington and Darrnell Hammock two of Coach tate's former high school players and a third Dunbar HS standout Byron White . These three will surely be a force to be reconded with, as they all tip the scale at well over THREE HUNDRED POUNDS! Also signed is coach tate's MLB from The BBA Sharks Aleem Alison and Baltimore Warrior standout MLB/OLB Dione White. Coach tate states he's "looking for a few more pieces to finish the Militia puzzle" Along with that, on offense Militia QB Lew Lahay should have no problem finding his two 6'3" recievers Andre' 1&2. It's official, as of 10:30pm 10/13/2010, the Maryland Militia Mens Full Contact Football Team are now affiliated with the Reisterstown Rec Council.
We look forward to years of being able to help support the rec councils youth programs.

SEPT 11 & 12 2010, THE MARYLAND MILITIA COACHES, STAFF, AND FRIENDS PASSED OUT FLYERS, RECEIVED PLAYER/COACH INFORMATION, AND MOST OF ALL GOT THE LOCALS TO KNOW THAT THE TEAM WAS HERE IN REISTERSTOWN.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME, MET ALOT OF POTENTIAL AND PROMISING PLAYERS AND COACHES.
WE THANK THE FESTIVAL STAFF AND REC COUNCIL FOR HAVING US.

The Militia Join The Atlantic Football Association
It's official, the Maryland Militia joined the AFA for the 2011 spring season. The meeting was held in Taneytown Maryland. Home of the well respected Carroll County Cannons.
We look forward to this season, because we (all owners) want the same thing. We want a legitimate league that has integrity among the owners and teams, and all the rules are the same for everyone.
This will be the dawn of a new era for spring football. It's not the size of the league, It's not how many teams are in the league, but the quality of the league and the quality of the teams.
