2012 Winter/Spring Schedule
  • Jan 3rd FREE Winter Clinics begin location:Parklawn Elementary School Gym Mon, Tues, Wed at 5-6 pm
  • Feb 12th (Sun) at 7:00 pm Board of Directors meeting at Mason District Government Office
    • Meeting date changed because of Superbowl on Feb 5th
  • Feb 25th (Sat) -- Registration and Player assesment location: TBD
  • Mar 2nd (Fri) -- Family Fun Night at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School
  • Mar 3rd (Sat) -- MDLL Day at Dick's from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (15% off any item)
  • Mar 4th (Sun) -- Registration and Player asessment location: TBD
  • Mar 10th (Sat) -- MDLL Parent Meet and Greet 
  • Mar 11th (Sun) at 7:00 pm Board of Directors meeting at Mason District Government Office

Fall Survey
The Fall Season is coming to an end. In order to improve Mason District Little League, we ask that you take a few minutes to complete a short survey. Your input is very important to us and will help us to focus on improving in areas you feel important. We also use the surveys to help us in selecting managers and coaches in the future.

Thank you to Larry Lefbom, MDLL Player Agent, for tallying the manager's votes and managing the selection process. The All Star Selection process was approved by the MDLL Board in the Spring of 2009.  Each manager voted on the top players from their respective division from the list of eligible players.  The player agent then compiled the lists and sorted the vote totals, then the All Star team manager selected the final two spots to determine the MDLL All Star teams.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to the Majors Orioles for winning the Majors Championship in a decisive win 15 to 2 over the Red Sox.

Congratulations to the AAA Cardinals in their win 10 to 0 win over the Cubs. The Cardinals will represent Mason District in the Starliper.

Batting Cages at Mason District Park!

MDLL is working with Fairfax County to construct batting cages at the Mason District Park field. We have applied for a Mastenbrook Grant with Fairfax County to defray the cost of the batting cages. We have also applied to other community organizations for additional grants, but we need your help.

We are also accepting donations for our scholarship program. MDLL does not turn away any child because of an inability to pay the registration fee. Your donations can help with the costs of providing uniforms, fields, and equipment to youths who want to play baseball.

Volunteers Welcome!
   Mason District Little League is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. We are always looking for individuals who are willing to lend a hand. Please contact our League President, Toni Matheny, if you are interested in helping. She can be reached via e-mail at mdllorg@yahoo.com. Volunteers who will have contact with children must complete the LLB volunteer application form found at http://www.littleleague.org/common/forms/volunteerapp.pdf, or from the attached.
