No Letdown for Cards as they open second half of Metro season
The cardinals, fresh off a 27 - 5 tournament championship victory, kept the momentum going and destroyed the Titans in metro league play 18 to 5 in 5 innings. After a suburb perfomance in the Memorial Day tournament, it was everyone's concern that the Cardinals may suffer a letdown against a good Titans team. The Cards however came out smoking with a 3 run first and never looked back.

Brock Bowers, who hadn't pitched in a while, took the ball and deliverd a 5 inning masterpiece on the mound. He baffled the titans hitters and only a couple walks and fielding errors allow the the Titans to score.

The Cards blasted the ball at the plate as Chad Ringold lead the attack with a 3 hit night. James Jaworski continued his torrid hitting pace with a multiple hit game. Justin Ailstock delivered a bomb for a homerun in the top of the fifth that capped off a night of extra base hits for the Cards. Logan Ryder, Christian Pitts and Alec Stavish also accounted for some fireworks at the plate.

Cards fall to Titans 6 to 5
