HUSKIES
After losing 2 championships with the Bloodhounds in the Spring and Fall of 1996, Coach/Capt. Dave Mitchell#4 chose to rebuild the Huskies of 1995, this time garnishing the Washington Huskie purple, black with gold trim,(as was later switched to red trim to give a more distinct look.)
After rostering 25 initial players and losing the first few close games, Mitchell cut his roster down and started adding good free agent players with veteran TE Hue Bibbs and speedy RB Bill Willingham. With addition of FS rookie sensation Terrence Roberts, to build momentum to look ahead to the Fall '97 season.
