Welcome to the Official Murphy Canyon Little League website!
At Murphy Canyon Little League we strive to make our fields a safe family fun facility. There are "NO Pets allowed at any time. So please leave them at home when you come to our fields.
We are proud to serve the Boys and Girls ages 4-16 years old that live in the Murphy Canyon Military Housing Area of San Diego.
Murphy Canyon Little League was first establishied in 1975 and we are proud to celebrate our 37th year as a chartered Little League serving the Community of Murphy Canyon.
We Offer 6 different Divisions of Baseball that include: T-Ball (4-6), Rookies (7-8), Minors (9-11), Majors (9-12), Juniors (13-14), & Seniors (15-16).

Military All-Star Classic presented by MLB Players Alumni Association set for San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA.- Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association is proud to present the Military All-Star Classic. The action packedweekend will consist of exhibition games, patriotic events and special autograph sessions to salute the U.S. Military All-Stars who deliver inspiring patriotic entertainment all over the world. They will bring their spirit and talent to San Diego, California on 4-6 May 2012.
Over the course of three days, Military All-Stars, MLB Alumni and celebrities will appear at various community events including a visit to St. Mary’s School on Friday morning to share the “Heroes of the Diamond” children’s book, lunch and a friendly rematch against a student body of over 250 players. At 6:00 PM they will conduct a free open to the public baseball/softball clinic at Murphy Canyon Little League, before getting an early start
Saturday at the Military Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament and awards luncheon at Admiral Baker Golf Course. Saturday night will feature the Military All-Star Classic Gala and Silent Auction on board the USS MIDWAY.
You can sleep in on Sunday and still make a triple-header beginning with the UNLV vs. San Diego State baseball game at 1PM followed by the Military All-Star Celebrity Softball Classic at 5:30 PM and then enjoy the battle for the Commander Lawrence S. Jackman Trophy during the 19th Annual Military All-Star Classic at 7:05 PM.
The U.S. Military All-Stars represent some of our nation’s bravest and most determined soldiers, veterans and first responders. The mission is to promote the awareness of all Americans in support of the brave sacrifices made by our armed forces on the front lines. The goal is to compete at the highest level while providing the most patriotic entertainment in the world. Comprised of talented, young active duty soldiers and veterans who are
serving their country in a post-9/11 wartime environment the “Red, White & Blue Tour” provides a win, win to demonstrate their ability to meet challenges while representing their service and play the sport they love.

The Murphy Canyon Little League Board of Directors at Murphy Canyon Little League are looking for individuals interested in getting involved and volunteering. There are several positions vacant on the board at this time. If you are looking at a way to get involved with a community organization or give back to the youth of the community this is a great chance to do just that.
Some of the positions that are vacant are: Sponsorship Coordinator, Junior Senior Player Agent, Field Manager, & Secretary or just become a Member-At-Large. We would love to have you on our Board of Directors.

Baseball Bat Rule Changes for the 2012 Season
On November 3, 2011, Little League International announced various Bat Rule changes which will go into effect for the upcoming 2012 season. Each of these changes impact baseball bats only. The link provided details the changes for each division of Little League Baseball as well as the actual verbiage to be placed into the soon to be releases 2012 Baseball Rule Book. If changes are made or additional clarity is provided on how to enforce the rule before the start of the season the link provided will be the best method to use as you review the information.

The clinic will be held at 2225 Camino Del Rio South, San Diego, CA 92108. The clinic is MANDATORY, every Coach or Manager in our District must attend once every three years. Each team in our District must have at least one Coach or Manager attend each year in order to be eligible to play in the District TOC. Purpose: To raise awareness for every Coach and Manager on how to prevent and treat injuries. The topics that will be discussed are simple first aid, recovering and returning to action from an injury, prevention of injuries and Little League Safety Rules. This Little League Rules clinic is designed to provide an understanding and in-depth knowledge of the rules for Little League Baseball. This year's Rules Training will be held at the Orleck Heights District Office, located at 10323 Orleck Street, San Diego, CA 92124. We have formatted the clinics in a way that will benefit all managers, coaches and umpires. If you only attend one clinic, this is one clinic to attend. Little League Baseball has made significant changes to the 2012 rules.
We are offering 2 clinics to choose from: Tuesday February 21st the rules clinic will be geared for Umpires and League Board Members and on February 22nd the rules clinic will be for Managers and Coaches. We will review each of the rule changes in depth to prepare you for the upcoming season. Board Members and parents are invited to attend either night. Clinics will run from 6pm-9pm each night.

North Park Little League has invited all managers and coaches in District 33 who are getting ready for the season to their Coaches and Safety Clinic on Sunday, February 26th, 2012. Both of these clinics are free to anyone in District 33 and fulfill the requirements for District TOC. The coaching clinic will be given by San Diego City College baseball coach Chris Brown and some of his players. Both clinics will be held at the San Diego City College Knights field located at 2221 Morley Field Drive, San Diego CA 92104. Come and learn to run a fun and effective practice! The clinic is design for coaches and parents of players of all levels. Drinks will be provided for all participants. Check in time is 8:30am at the field. For faster check in, please pre-register by emailing your name and league to npll33@hotmail.com. Pre-registration is helpful but not required.
The Safety Clinic will be beginning at 12:00pm at the same location. The purpose of this safety clinic is to raise awareness for every coach and manager on how to prevent and treat injuries. Every coach or manager in our District must attend both a coaches and safety clinic once every three years. This is a great opportunity for every coach and manager in the District, please take advantage of it, your players are the one that will benefit from it.
In case of rain, the clinic will be relocated to the Harry West Gymnasium at San Diego City College, 1400 block of Park Blvd, across the street from San Diego High School.

Please do not bring your pets to the fields during practice, games and events. For the safety of our players, parents and volunteers, you will be asked to remove them from the premises.
MCLL Volunteer Badges
Are the volunteers working on the field with your children cleared through MCLL?
ALL MCLL Volunteers regardless of what position they hold, are required to have a VISIBLE badge (attached to clothing) while on the field, in the dugout, in the scorebooth or in the concession stand.
If you do not see a badge, you have the right to ask to see it. (That includes board members, managers, coaches, etc.)
If they don't have one to show you, you have the right to ask them to leave the field or you may contact a board member immediately to report it.
NO ONE WITHOUT AN MCLL VOLUNTEER BADGE SHOULD BE ANYWHERE OTHER THAN BLEACHERS AND PARKING LOTS.
With everyone's help, we can make MCLL a safe place to play!
