McLean County Mavericks: Welcome

Welcome to Mavericks Baseball

McLean County (PONY) MAVERICKS - a BRONCO select baseball team from Bloomington, Illinois

Mavericks Baseball became a reality in 2002 as a select baseball team with its roots in McLean County PONY Baseball (Protecting Our Nations Youth). The 2007 Mavericks qualified for the 13 U Zone tourney in Carter Lakes, IA (Omaha) after placing 3rd in the Bardley-Bourbonnais Region tourney, beating the 2006 12U Zone Champions from Oak Park, IL along the way.

The 2008 Maverick baseball team is comprised of 13-14 year olds from McLean County, IL. These athletes currently represent these Junior High Schools: Bloomington, Normal - Chiddix, Normal - Kingsley, Normal - Parkside and Metcalf.

The Mavericks Motto is to "Play hard! Have fun! Help each other! "
This Motto will be put to practical use as we learn and grow through our experiences both on and off the baseball field. To further those concepts, the McLean County Mavericks will play primarily in Central Illinois this summer - with one exception - a journey as yet undetermined. The Mavericks organization can be contacted through Coach Ray Gerard 309-663-8793 or the team website
As always, thank you very much for your support!
