This WAS the MCHS Lady Jaguar Fastpitch Site from 2001-2004. The site is open for you to look at, but will not be updated. There are stats and pictures for all of the seasons in which I was involved with. I hope you have enjoyed this site over the past years. It was made for the players! I had a great time coaching you girls! The years we had , I will never forget! Contact me if you need anything! I don't know if anyone ever looks at this anymore but I will continure to leave it up. These were the best of times!

The third and deciding game was played Monday, April 27th at Southaven between Madison Central and Southaven. As usual, the north title came down between it's two usual opponents. With the series tied 1-1, this game was for EVERYTHING!

The first 5 innings were deadlocked in a 0-0 tie. The top of the 6th saw the first scoring of the game. With two outs, Jamie Myrick rips a triple out to the left field fence. Nicole Fullilove steps to the plate and rips a single through the infield to scored Myrick and put the Lady Jags up 1-0. That would have been enough for pitcher Lindsey Perry, but in the top of the seventh, the Lady Jags posted 3 more insurance runs. With two outs again, Lacy Jacks singles over second base. Emily Cotten came in to pinch run. Rachel Morris steps up and hits a double to left-centerfield. With runners now on second and third, Kelsey Webber hits a screamer down the third base line to drive in two runs and she advances to second base on the throw to the plate. Senior Abby Miller now steps up to bat and laces a double into the left field corner scoring Kelsey from second. That put the Lady Jaguars up 4-0 over the Southaven Lady Chargers. More than enough for pitcher Lindsey Perry who struck out the final three batter to end the game and capture the 5A NORTH STATE CHAMPIONSHIP !!!

Saturday, March 27th was a long hot day, but a very exciting day in terms of what is means to the Lady aguars of Madison Central. They knew that Saturday was going to be a tough day as far as opponents went. They hard to face a perinial top notch program in Newton County High School, then face #11 Horn Lake High School, an unknown Gautier team and the #1 Southaven Lady Chargers.

The first game against Newton County was a game where tha Lady Jaguars came out with their bats ready. It lasted only 5 innings as the Lady Jaguars pounded out 10 hits and scored 11 runs to beat Newton County 11-0. Jamie Myrick hit a 3-run walk-off homerun to end the game. Lindsey Perry picked up the victory (7-0) with 10 strikeouts.

The second game against #11 Horn Lake was kind of a ho-hum game. Horn Lake decided to throw an eighth grader who was considerably slower than the pitching the Lady Jags were used to seeing. The Lady Jags prevailed 5-0. Nicole Fullilove had a double during the game. Danielle Ryan picked up the victory (6-2) with 6 strikeouts.

After a long break in the action, the third game came around. The third game was against an unknown Gautier team. With the inability of the Gautier pitchers to find the strike zone, the Lady Jaguars walked 10 times during the game. There were 4 doubles hit in the game. They were by Jamie Myrick, Brittany Wright, Rachel Morris and Rachel Ciarletta. The Lady Jaguars prevailed 17-1. Danielle Ryan picked up the victory (7-2). She had 8 strikeouts against Gautier.

The fourth and final game Saturday was against #1 ranked Southaven. As always the game was a zero-zero tie all the way through the 7 regulation innings. The Lady Jaguars sent Nicole Fullilove to second base in the top of the eighth inning according to international tie-breaker rules. Rachel Morris layed down a bunt which Southaven pitcher Lacie McCulley threw errant to first base. With runners on first and third, Lacy Jacks hits a hot shot off the pitcher that the second baseman couldn't get the throw to first in time. Nicole Fullilove scores on the play. MCHS leads 1-0. With runners now on first and second, Abby Miller goes down swinging. With one out Emily Younger sacrifices the runners to second and third. With two outs Jamie Myrick ends the inning by striking out. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Southaven sends Nikki Dunn to second base. Cooper lays down a bunt that we field but can't make a play. Cooper takes second base on a no throw. Lindsey Perry proceeds to strike out the next two batters. With two outs and Southaven's leadoff batter at the plate, Lindsey Perry gets her to pop-up to Rachel Iupe at shortstop. The Madison Central Lady Jaguars defeat #1 ranked Southaven 1-0 to go undefeated in the Clinton Invitational.
