Mechanicsburg Midget Football Assocation: My Site News: President's Objectives and Goals for 2009

1.  Improve the flow of information across the organization.  This will be accomplished through the following:

  • Revise and update the League Website
  • Collect an e-mail address for every parent of every athlete.
  • Critical information will be pushed to the organization via regular email distribution
  • Information and transparency will lead to better accountability for the entire organization

2.  League By-Laws will undergo a comprehensive review and be rewritten as necessary.  The goal of this revision should be to:

•  
  • Align policies to reflect the current organization and board structure
  • Establish clear and reasonable guidance related to the actions of athletes, parents and volunteers
  • Craft a document that will not require or be subject to constant amendment based on short term situations

3.  Improve the financial strength of the organization.  Although we have enjoyed historical prosperity, the organization must be poised to weather economic downturns and stillb e able to make capital investments such as new uniforms and equipment.

  • Continued emphasis on fundraising efforts
  • Expand sponsorships and advertising in the program and on the website
  • Hold the line on spending by employing peer review on major expenses whenever possible
