Manoa Boys Basketball League has been providing participation oriented,
competitive basketball for youth ages 7-17 years old for over 30 years.
Fall 2008 Season

*Formation of the Varsity Division will depend if there is sufficient interest and if space is available.
+All players that have played basketball for their school in the 2008 season must play in the Varsity Division. This applies to players from 7th grade and up in the I.L.H. and to players 9th grade and up in the O.I.A. This is due to the "Outside Participation Rule" cut off date of September 15. Only the Varsity Division will finish by September 15 so returning school players will not jeopardize their eligibility for school.
SEASONS:
Major and Senior Divisions will begin practices sometime in August with regular league games starting in either the end of August or early September and ending by the 15th of November.
Midgets and Minor Divisions will begin practices in September with regular league games starting in late September or early October and ending around the first or second week in December.
If a Varsity Division is formed, practices will begin in late July or early August with the start of regular league games being dependent on the number of registrants and teams. Should there be a Varsity Division, all games will be scheduled for completion by the 15th of September.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF PLAYERS:
Players are expected to attend all practice sessions and every scheduled game. Players missing more than three (3) games may be asked to drop from the program. Any player who drops out after the teams are formed or is dismissed or suspended from a team or league games will be ineligible to register for the following season. NO PARTICIPATION IN OTHER SPORTS OR LEAGUES DURING SEASON.

Report to Manoa Gym with basketball shoes, shorts and knee pads (knee pads are mandatory for all Midget and Minor Division players). Check for your time and date above. PLEASE SIGN IN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR TRYOUT TIME. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. Those who cannot attend will be placed into a wait-list pool for a lottery draw depending on space availability.
In the event your child cannot attend their respective tryout, you need to submit in writing why your child will not be able to attend and send it to the P.O. Box listed at the top of this page.
REMINDERS TO PARENTS:
(1) The number of teams will be limited by the number of coaches willing to volunteer and the enrollment of the league.
(2) Please do not over commit your child to various other activities which will result in their inability to fulfill their commitment to this league.
