MAA Lacrosse is available for girls and boys ages 5-14.

MAA adheres to county rules and focuses on promoting fair play, good sportsmanship, fundamental skill, and play development.

As mandated by the county, all players will have the opportunity to enjoy at least 25% play time per game. Between the weekly practices and the games, players will have plenty of opportunity to learn more about this fast-moving sport.

All coaches and assistant coaches must have updated background checks and coaches’ certifications every three years. Contact the MAA commissioner for details.

Anne Arundel county Age eligibility for the 2009 Youth Boys Lacrosse Season

Clinic     (born Sept 1999 through Aug 2001) 3rd & 4th graders
Peewee  (born Sept 1997 through Aug 1999) 5th & 6th graders
Midget   (born Sept 1995 through Aug 1997) 6th & 7th graders
Juniors   (born Sept 1993 through Aug 1995) 8th & 9th graders

MAA provides teams at all of the above levels, and also a Scoopers program for 1st and second graders, must be 5 years old.

MAA provides equipment(helmet, gloves and shoulder pads)to all Scoopers,Clinic and first year players included in their registration fee. All other players with 2 years of Mayo experience needing equipment will be required to pay a $30.00 rental fee. All players receiving equipment will be required to submit a separate $200.00 deposit check made payable to M.A.A. dated June 1, 2009.

ALL PLAYERS are required to purchase their own arm pads and mouth pieces, both required for play. Rib pads are optional but recommended.

ALL PLAYERS are required to purchase their game uniforms from MAA. All current players will be able to reuse their jersey unless it is lost or deemed to be damaged or not presentable. Players will be required to register on time for the following season if they wish to keep their current jersey number
