Crestdale Field

The Cougars home field for the 2000-2001 season is again Crestdale Field. Crestdale Field is the home of the Crestdale Middle School Wildcats, Conference champions in 1999 and 2nd place finishers in 2000 and 2001. The Wildcats were 9-0 in 1999, 8-1 in 2000 and 9-2-1 in 2001 for an overall record of 26-3-1 in their three years of existence. The Cougars continue to make improvements to the facility such as the addition of practice pitching mounds in the fall of 2000. More additions are planned as the Cougars will be using the facility for both practices and home games in 2001.

Dave Jones Field

The Cougars moved to their 2nd home field in 2001, using Dave Jones Field on the campus of East Mecklenburg High School. Many Cougars would go on to enjoy success with the East Mecklenburg Eagles, helping them to a conference championship in 2003 and three straight SW4A Conference Tournament Championship games. The Eagles won 69 varsity and 26 JV games during the 4 years that the Cougars were at East Meck. Three original Cougars (Brett Alter, Joey Savago & Chip Smith) played 4 years at East Mecklenburg High School for Coach Chet Greeson.
