Wednesday, November 4 Update for week of Nov. 1, 2009 Hello Lady Mats,
Congratulations Lady Mats on your NCS first round victory tonight! We are peaking at the right time! Good job girls, your hard work is paying off.
Our next game vs. Marin Catholic, will be played on Saturday at 6:15p.m. at Contra Costa College located at 2600 Mission Bell Drive, San Pablo. The players need to be at the pool by 5:15p.m.
We can set up a carpool from Orinda Safeway if we can get 3 or 4 drivers. We would need to meet at Safeway around 4:30 p.m. Let me know if you can drive. If we don't have drivers then each girl will just have to get themselves to the pool by 5:15. I will let everyone know by email if we are carpooling or not.
Thank you to the Honens family for bringing the water for the team tonight. Can someone let us know if you would bring water to Saturday's game. Thank you!

Hello Everyone,
First a big thank you to our chaperones at the Nor CAL tournament, the Abel, Condon and Schoenfeld families. Thank you for taking care of the snacks, water and making sure the girls got where they needed to go.
REMINDER: If you have not paid the $100 fee for the Nor Cal tournament please do so asap on the webstore.
Thank you to the Iqbal family, Attard family, Nevins, Condon and Taapken families for bringing the food to the Varsity pasta feed! It was all delicious.
Good job girls on all of you hard work and our 12th place finish at the NOR CAL tournament, the most competitive tournament of the season. Monte Vista was beaten by Menlo Atherton 4-3 in the championship game and Campolindo lost to St. Francis, Mountain View 7-5 in the 3rd place game.
We have the North Coast championship starting this week and all parents, both JV and Varsity will need to sign up for a shift once we send out the google doc schedule. Thank you in advance.
Save the date, we will be sending out an invitation via email but remember the awards banquet coming up on Nov. 17th at 6 pm at Orinda Country Club.
We now head into the most important part of our season and what we have worked hard towards, the NCS championships. Our practice times for the Varsity group are the same as usual. We will send an email regarding game times etc...as we hear news of the schedule.

Hello Lady Mats,
What an exciting weekend at the Western States Tournament in Modesto, the largest high school women's water polo tournament of the season with 64 Varsity teams competing and 24 soph frosh teams competing.
Congratulations to our Varsity Team for finishing 13th and congratulations to our Junior Varsity Team for finishing 8th! Great job girls!
Thanks again to our great coaches, Steve and Trevor, you both did an amazing job guiding the girls to many victories in the pool and great finishes overall!
Thank you to the Hinkamp family for hosting our Western States Pasta Feed. Thank you to everyone who brought the food, the girls were well fed and had a great time!
Thank you to all of the parents who helped us have a smooth weekend of exciting water polo. Special thanks to Aruna Joshi and Kathy Christensen for keeping the girls hydrated and fed. We appreciate our team photographers as well Ranie Pearce and Kim Miller! All of the drivers did an amazing job of getting the girls to their games on time and without drama, great job!
This week is a busy one as well.
Practice times are as usual. Please note that for Friday's game against Carondolet the Miramonte Varsity Team will play at 4 p.m. and the JV team will be playing at 5 p.m.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you to the Honen's family for hosting the "Beat Campo" pasta feed. Thank you also to all the families who brought all the food! The girls enjoyed it and we had plenty to eat!
A very good game against Campolindo! Well, we sure gave them a good scare in the first half! Great defense and good movement!

Below is a link to the Western States Tournament. Varsity has their first game at 11:15 a.m. and the JV team has their first game at 9 a.m. in Turlock.
Attention: We need all parents who would like to join us for the team dinner at Trisettis' World Cafe to pay on the Miramonte Webstore asap. The cost of the dinner is $26 (includes tax and tip). The girls are already paid for via the Western States fee you already have paid. Let us know if you will be joining us! It is a lot of fun and a really good time to spend with your daughters.
We need all permission slips turned in to Janey Chritton by Tuesday, Oct. 13 for the Western States Tournament.
Next week, we play Acalanes on Weds. followed by a pasta feed at the Hinkamps home and then the team heads to Modesto right after practice on Thursday night.
Don't forget, morning practice tomorrow from 6 a.m sharp to 7:15 a.m.
