BLAZE QUALIFIES FOR NSA NATIONALS!
The Blaze opened pool play by beating Cumberland County Magic 12-0. The Blaze won their second game outscoring Central PA Krunch Red 14-7. The final game of the day Central PA Krunch Blue won 6-4 in a well played game by both teams. The Blaze earned a #3 seed heading into Sunday's championship play. The Blaze pitching was stellar in a 9-1 victory vs. Warwick Cyclones and a 7-1 win vs. PA Alley Cats, which earned them a championship matchup with Central PA Krunch Blue. Although the Krunch led the entire game the Blaze made them earn the championship as they fell 9-6.

BLAZE FINISHES 2ND IN NSA QUALIFIER
The Mason Dixon Blaze finished in 2nd place in the May 20/21 NSA WSQ tournament in Fayetteville, PA. The Blaze opened play Saturday with a 10-0 victory vs. Cumberland Heat. The Blaze scored two runs in the last inning to edge Tri-State Thunder 3-2 to improve their recored to 2 wins vs. 0 losses. The Blaze earned a # 2 seed with a 5-1 victory vs. PA Alley Cats in the final game on Saturday. The Blaze won a close contest vs. Central PA Krunch Red with a 6-5 victory. The Blaze lost the championship game to Churchville Lightening 3-2 in a well played game to capture second place.

BLAZE IS 3-0 IN MOTHERS DAY MADNESS TOURNAMENT
The Mason Dixon Blaze went undefeated in the Frostburg Mountain Thunder Mother's Day Madness one day tournament in Frostburg, MD. The Blaze won their first game by a 4-1 score vs. the host Frostburg Mtn. Thunder. The Blaze ourscored PA Blitz by a 14-9 margin in a slugfest. The final game of the day the Blaze posted a 8-0 victory over the Cumberland Heat.
Sunday, June 18
BLAZE QUALIFIES FOR PONY NATIONALS
The Blaze captured second place in the Tri-State Thunder tournament held in Hagerstown, MD. on June 3 & 4. The Blaze posted a come from behind victory 3-2 victory vs. Loudoun Storm in their first game on Saturday. The Blaze upped their pool play record to 2 wins vs. 0 losses with a convincing 8-1 win vs. Frederick Heartbreakers. The Blaze fell behind 7-0 vs. Tri-State Thunder, but came roaring back to win 11-7 in the final game on Saturday. The Blaze earned a #2 seed and started Sunday by winning 14-4 vs. Glade Valley Gators. The Blaze then met Cumberland Heat and won a 1-0 thriller in a pitchers duel. The Champions Blue proved worthy of their #1 seed as they outplayed the Blaze resulting in a 6-1 defeat. The second place earned the Blaze the opportunity to travel to Ohio for the PONY Nationals.

BLAZE WINS NSA CENTRAL PA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Blaze opened Saturday Pool Play with a 5-1 victory vs. Tri-State Thunder with strong pitching a good defense. The Blaze were defeated 3-0 vs. a strong Wyoming Valley Flames team from Scranton area. The Blaze bounced back with a 6-3 win vs. PA Alley Cats in earning a #2 seed heading into championship play on Sunday. The Blaze defeated Tri-State Thunder 8-0, which set up a rematch with Wyoming Valley Flames with the winner taking the NSA Central PA State Championship title. The Blaze prevailed with a 4-2 win to avenge their only loss of the tournament. The victory earns a berth to the NSA Super World Series held in Illinois in August.

BLAZE FINISHES SECOND IN CHOCOLATETOWN NSA NATIONAL QUALIFIER
The Blaze opened pool play on Saturday with a 6-4 victory vs. Jackson Renegades (NJ) then lost a 4-1 decision in a well played game with Warrington Blue Thunder. The Blaze lost 16-3 to the New York State champ Lady Bandits in the last game of the day. The Blaze entered Sunday with a #6 seed, which matched them against the Lady Bandits early Sunday morning. The Blaze prevailed 10-8 in extra innings sending them into the semifinals against PA Shooting Stars. The Blaze earned another championship matchup with Blue Thunder as they won 7-4. Although the final score was 13-3 the Blaze led 3-2 going into the fourth inning, but seemed to have expended all their energy getting to the championship game.

BLAZE CAPTURES SECOND PLACE IN PONY NQ
The Blaze opened pool play on Saturday with a 8-0 victory vs. the host team Shenandoach Valley Mavericks. The Blaze continued to score blasting the Maryland Flames 14-3 in a that lasted three innings. The Blaze bats continued to be hot as they posted a 12-0 win vs. Washington Senators, which earned a #1 seed going into Sunday Championship play. The Blaze matched up against the Valley Mavericks wasting very little time as they won a convincingly 13-3 to set up a matchup with Ashburn Stars Gold. The Blaze gave up only two hits during the contest, but played poor defensively committing seven errors, which led to five unearned runs as they lost 6-3.

Blaze wins 7 games at NSA Nationals
The Mason Dixon Blaze finished in 7th place at NSA Nationals in Salem, VA. The Blaze won 7 games and dropped 2 games as they wrapped on the summer season improving our overall record to 34 wins, 13 defeats and one tie. the Blaze won their first two pool play games and then lost a 4-1 decision to West Chester Wildfire as they dropped into the elimination bracket. The Blaze then reeled off 5 wins in a row before bowing out to the eventual third place finisher Flames.

BLAZE FINISHES SECOND IN CENTRAL/WESTERN PA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Mason Dixon Blaze earned a USSSA national bid to Orlando, FL as they finished as the second place team during the Central/Western PA State Championship @ Guilford complex in Fayetteville, PA. The Blaze were the #1 seeded team entering Sunday's championship play. They won three games Saturday in pool play with victories over PA Shooting Stars (4-3), Pittsburgh Pride (14-1) and Lancaster Lazers (8-1). The Blaze faced the PA Shooting Stars in the semifinal game on Sunday and posted a 4-2 win. The Blaze lost the championship game to PA Krunch Blue 8-7 as they Blaze had runners on second and third base with two outs in the bottom half of the seventh inning, but could not push across the baserunners. The exhibited great character as they fell behind by a 7-2 score in the second inning.

MASON DIXON BLAZE ANNOUNCE TRYOUT DATES FOR 2007-2008 SEASON
The Mason Dixon Blaze fastpitch softball program will conduct tryouts for the 2007-2008 season on Saturday, August 18 & Saurday, August 25. The tryouts will be held at Greencastle-Antrim Baseball/Softball Complex in Greencastle, PA
The following age groups will conduct tryouts at the following times: 10U & 12U: 10AM - Noon 14U: 12:30PM - 2:30PM 16U & 18U: 3PM - 5PM
NOTE: Please arrive 30 minutes before scheduled start time for the registration process.
