Spring 2006
In Spring 2006, the league played at Mallard Creek Park with 8 teams:
Uptown Division
HGH, South Park, Monterrey Royal SC, Team Puma
Center City Division
CSC, Metrolina United, QCR, Ball Hogs
Division champions were Team Puma (Uptown), and CSC (Center City). Tournament final played by CSC and HGH, won by HGH 4-2.
Fall 2005
In Fall 2005, the league played at Mallard Creek Park with 8 teams:
Uptown Division
South Park, CSC, Monterrey Royal SC, EYFC
Center City Division
Metrolina United, HGH, QCR, Team Puma
Team Puma was a new team with several former CSC players, and the Shenanigans team folded sending several players to EYFC.
Spring 2005
In Spring 2005, the league played at Mallard Creek Park with 8 teams:
Uptown Division
South Park, CSC, Monterrey Royal SC, Shenanigans
Center City Division
Metrolina United, HGH, QCR, EYFC
EYFC was a new team, and Metrolina United was a combination of the former Purple team and the former Interlink team.
The Center City division champion was EYFC, and the Uptown Division Champion was Royal. The tournament champion was Metrolina United.
Fall 2004
In Fall 2004, the league played at Mallard Creek Park with 8 teams:
Uptown Division
Monterrey Royal SC, QCR, CSC, Shenanigans
Center City Division
Purple, South Park, HGH, Interlink
The Center City division champion was South Park, and the Uptown Division Champion was Shenanigans. The tournament champion was Royal.
Fall 2002 changes
- Team CHOA joined the league
- Team Gala joined the league
- Forfeit rule was changed to a 5-0 or 3-0 loss
- moved forward the payment deadline and required the first half payment due at captain's meeting
Spring 2002 Changes
- Team Fury dropped out of the league
- Shirts were given to the tournament winners (we will continue to provide shirts in addition to the trophies)
- The following officers were voted in:
- President - Jack Gurrad
- Vice President - Don Strange
- Treasurer - Chuck Rigney
- Secretary - Greg Slayton
The Metrolina Adult Soccer League has existed long before I became involved. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with many of the changes the league has undergone before now. In an effort to preserve the history of our league, I will begin recording any future changes in the league. Hopefully, this tradition will continue......
