Welcome to the Maryville Little League website.
We are now in to the All-Star Season. Maryville Little League's All Star teams are competing very well and the parents and fans are representing Maryville great. To get more information about how the All-Star teams are doing, please check the district website at www.district6tn.com.
Congtatulations to the 9-10 Softball team who won the district championship! They will be representing Maryville Little League in the state tournament in Memphis beginning July 14th. Team members are: Montana Coffey, Turner Courtney, Eliza Dalton, Harley Frazier, Jennifer Houser, Kassidi Knight, Lindsey LeGrange, Kasey Miller, Courtney Pharris, Rachel Roberts and Lindsey Roddy. The 9-10 Baseball team has also won the district championship going undefeated in the elimination round and only losing 1 game during pool play. The team will begin state tournament play in Charlotte, TN on Saturday, July 14th. The team members are Paul Bristol, Justin Coleman, Alex Curl, Ethan Dudley, Chris Fernandez, Riley Hill, Blake Holder, Josh Lambert, Drake Martin, Dylan Rathbone, Matthew Sentell, and Chase White. The 11 yr old baseball team is district champions as well! The won the district after a VERY LONG and well played ballgame against Eagleton that was finally won in the 12th inning (no that's NOT a typo!). The 11 year olds won't have to travel very far for the state tournament as it is being hosted by our cross town rivals- Eagleton! It begins on July 14th. Team members are: Cody Carroll, Chancellor Coates, Isaac Edmiston, Tobie Freeman, Kristian Jakobsen, Tanner Jones, Travis Moths, Chris Raymond, Haden Townsend, Tyler Vaught, Colby Webb, and Daniel West. Senior League Boys (15-16 year old) win championship in a run rule game with a score of 11-1. The boys will travel to Jonesborough for the state championship beginning July 21st. Team members are: Miles Allen, Tylor Clendenen, Ryan Click, Ryan Dalton, Tyler Jordan, Chance Moates, Mark Neithammer, Jon Reagan, Will Shaffer, Bryan Steverson, Micah Talley, Shane Treatheway, and Justin White. Another championship for Maryville. The junior league (13-14 yrs old) baseball team also has captured the District 6 Championship. They will begin the state tournament in Newport on July 21. Team members are: Avery Anderson, Steven Brooks, Blake Gifford, Ryan Hill, Caleb Horn, Justin Myers, Dargan Southard, Drew Stone, Forrest Stone, Nick Stuckwish, Alex Wheble, and Nick Woodrome. The Maryville Little League 7-8 year old baseball team (Black) wond the District 6 Championship held in Sevierville, TN. They went on to compete at the first ever state tournament for 7-8 year olds. They were the state runners up and represented Maryville Little League well. Congratulations boys! Please view their photo in the Album link.

Change in Playing Age
Change in Playing Age:
The playing age determination dates have changed for the 2006 season. The new age determination date for softball is December 31, 2005 and the new date for baseball is April 30, 2006. Players will play in the league according to their age as of that day. There will be some players who will be repeating the playing age that they played as in the 2005 season. For more information, please visit the little league website at http://www.littleleague.org or the "Handouts" link on the left.
Maryville Little League will be adding Big League teams for softball and baseball for league age 17-18 year olds if there is enough participation. The schedule will start later in the season to accommodate the players who will be playing on high school teams. Players should still register on the above mentioned dates.
2005 All Star Team Information
District All-Star Play:
Maryville's 9-10 Year Old Softball All-Stars win district
Maryville 9-10 year olds go undefeated through district play. Maryville defeated Bean Station 21-0, Eagleton 6-3 and Grainger County 18-0 in pool play and faced Eagleton in the championship game. Maryville won the game in 5 innings with a score of 10-0. Maryville now advances to the state tournament to be held in Greenville beginning July 23rd.
Team members are: Mishayla Byrd, Mikale Clendenen, Logan Frazier, Ashlynn Goins, Allison Headrick, Mackenzie Hutton, Ciera LaGrange, Natalie Overholt, Kalie Pritchett, Olivia Reagan, Olivia Spears and Sarah Stoffle. 11-12 Softball Claims District Title
Maryville's 11-12 Year Old Softball team claimed the District title by beating Eagleton in a 12-1 victory. The team went undefeated throughout the tournament posting wins against Sevierville, Grainger County and Eagleton. The girls will now play in the state tournament in Clarksville beginning on July 16th. Good luck girls!
Another District Title- 13-14 Softball
Yet another district title for Maryville Little League came by the way of the 13-14 year old softball all-stars. Maryville went undefeated in pool play beating Tazwell, LaFollette, Grainger County and Eagleton. Maryville again faced LaFollette in the championship and walked away with a 12-2 victory. Good luck at state girls!
15-16 Year Old Softball- 2nd Place
The 15-16 yar old girls also competed in the all-star district tournament which came down to a best 2 out of 3 between Maryville and Eagleton. Maryville beat Eagleton 10-2 in the first game before dropping the next 2 games. Congratulations on a well fought tournament!
9-10 Year Old Baseball
The 9-10 year old Maryville All-Stars too claimed a district title by beating Eagleton. The Maryville boys went undefeated through pool play defeating karnes-blue, Tazwell and Eagleton # 1. They again beat Eagleton in the championship game with a 3-0 victory. Maryville now advances to the state tournament to be played in Donelson.
11 Year Old Boys win District Title
The 11 year old boys from MLL captured the district title in a tough fought game against Karns. Karns was the only team to defeat Maryville during pool play but Maryville was able to come back and win the games that counted the most. The boys will now play in the state tournament to be held in Tullahoma on July 23rd. Way to go boys!
12 Year Old Baseball-2nd place
The MLL 12 year old baseball all-stars took 2nd place in the district in another match up that pitted the two blount county teams against each other. Eagleton defeated Maryville in a 3-1 game to capture the district title. Maryville went undefeated in pool play to earn the birth in the championship game. Congratulations on a great tournament boys.
13-14 Year Old Junior League Boys
Maryville All-stars also took 2nd place in the 13-14 year old boys tournament falling to the Greater Sevierville all-stars in the championship game by a score of 12-8. Maryville again went undefeated through pool play and beat Eagleton in the elimination round to earn the spot in the championship game. Another hard fought game ended Maryville's tournament hopes.
15-16 Year Old Senior League Boys
The 15-16 year old boys took first place in the district by defeating Tazwell 3-1. Maryville went through pool play defeating Eagleton and Grainger County twice each. Maryville now advances to the state tournament to be played in Gray, TN starting July 23rd.
