MARTELLA'S ELIMINATED FROM NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Martella's Pharmacy was eliminated from the National AAABA Tournament on Friday, suffering a 4-1 loss to Delweld in front of 6,000 fans at the Point Stadium. Landon Wahl (8-3) suffered the loss for Martella's, allowing three runs on three hits in 6 2/3 innings. Drew Shaulis tossed a complete game, no-hitter for Delweld. Shaulis struck out eight. Martella's lone run came in the first inning when Mike LeVisuer's sacrifice fly plated Colin Harrington. Martella's ends the season with a 37-15 record. Delweld advances to the National Semifinals to take on Brooklyn. New Brunswick and New Orleans will play the other semifinal game. |
