The Magic strives to provide our athletes the opportunity to develop confidence, poise, self control, self esteem and discipline. The Magic engages young ladies from ages 10-19, and young gentlemen from ages 11-16 to play in competitive games to improve their skills and prepare for upcoming middle school, high school and collegiate play. We build our teams to be competitive against regional, state and nationally competitive teams.
Our mission is to encourage young ladies and gentlemen to strive for excellence in their endeavors as athletes. To provide financial and educational assistance and support to athletes. To stimulate community interest and support for girls and boys basketball. To encourage personal growth, team play and social enjoyment among participants.
Our seasons for the 14-18 year olds will be changing in the Fall 2007, but we do not anticipate a change in seasons for the 10-13 year olds. There season will begin in January 2008. All female members may have the option of competing in three or more tournaments in May, June and July.

2008 Shooters Classic Registration Packet
2008 Shooters Registration Packet is now available. Please note that Magic has changed the age divisions to grades and has added boys teams. With the change in high school seasons we are able to open the tournament up for more younger teams to participate. Please download the packet and complete the information and mail along with your registration payment ASAP. Space is limited and teams will be placed on a first come, first serve basis. Registration DEADLINE is Febuary 16, 2008 - so get yours in soon.

2008 Girls Magic Teams Selected

Marquette Magic Announces Winter 2008 Girls AAU Teams
Selected to play for the Magic Girls 10U team are: Jessica Langsford, Casey Durand, Emilee LaMora, Elizabeth Kurin, Lindsey Beaudry, Alix Hillier, Olivia Berquist, Mikayla Blight, Montana Viitala, Senja Liimatta, Amanda Washrak and Destine Sandstrom. Coaching the 10U Team will be Cory Blight and Stacy Hillier.
The 11U team members are: Amber Beaudry, Caroline Jones, Kaylie Engler, Tamara Simula, Courtney McGovern, Jamie Olson, Hannah Johnson, Hunter Viitala and Matti Nyland. Coaching the 11U team are Mark McGovern and Teresa Viitala.
The 12U A team members are: Ella Caudill, Hannah Spenser, Mollie Pruitt, Cheynne Cherrubini, Emily Boyle, Courtney LaFreniere, Addision Piotrowski, Mogan Seibert, Lydia Kurin and Liana Storm. Coaches will be Larry Kurin and Mike Pruitt.
The 12U B team members are: Tricia Nolan, Beth Seavoy, Kelsey Wasik, Zoe Berquist, Jacy Madden, Michelle Johnson, Casey Rayhorn, Hanah Crampton and Asa Compton. Coaching the 12U B team is Lisa Coombs-Gerou and Rob Schmeling.
The 13U team members are: Melissa Tuma, Berkley LaFreniere, Simone Meyskens, Allysa VanHorn, Taylor McGovern, Megan Manninen, Mary Zhulkie, Rachel Wealton, Mary Provo and Allyssa Lindberg. The 13U team will be coached by Tim and Diane Lindberg.
There will be an open gym for all Magic players Monday, December 17, Tuesday, December 18 and Wednesday, December 19 from 6:00 – 7:30 at NMU – PEIF practice gyms. All ages are welcome to come and practice.
