The Magic strives to provide our athletes the opportunity to develop confidence, poise, self control, self esteem and discipline. The Magic engages young ladies from ages 10-19, and young gentlemen from ages 11-16 to play in competitive games to improve their skills and prepare for upcoming middle school, high school and collegiate play. We build our teams to be competitive against regional, state and nationally competitive teams.
Our mission is to encourage young ladies and gentlemen to strive for excellence in their endeavors as athletes. To provide financial and educational assistance and support to athletes. To stimulate community interest and support for girls and boys basketball. To encourage personal growth, team play and social enjoyment among participants.
Our 14-18 year olds play in the fall and our 10-13 year olds play in the winter. There maybe additional summer tournaments if a team and coach decide to continue playing.

Magic Boys Continue Winning Ways
The Marquette Magic fourth-grade boys basketball team took first place at the Superior Central tournament in Eben Jan. 30- Feb. 1 with a 4-0 record. The team won with a final score of 18-15 in the championship game against the Ishpeming Hotshots. Members of the winning team are Dylan Dauphinais, Trey McFerrin, Jared Prevost, Matthew Prevost, Jacob Johnson, Ian Ogea, and Luke Ogea. The boy’s coaches are Pierre Ogea and Mandee Dafoe.

Shooters Classic Tournament 2009
The Marquette Magic Shooters Classic Tournament will be held at Northern Michigan University the weekend of February 27 & 28 and March 1, 2009. This is a tournament for girls and boys teams ages 10 and under through 18 and under. There will be games played on Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday. The number of teams will be limited this year. You can down load a flyer and registration packet for the tournament below. Good luck to your team!
Visiting Team room reservations as available at the Holiday Inn of Marquette. Rooms need to be reserved by February 1, 2009. Please call the Holiday Inn at 906-225-1351. Ask for rooms under the Group - Marquette Magic.
