Monday, September 28 2009 Tournament Results The 2009 Marquette Pre-Season Varsity Tournament Championship Game and Third Place Game were played on Saturday, September 19th, 2009. In the Championship Game, the Lindburgh Flyers defeated the Marquette Mustangs by a final score of 5-4 in a shootout. In the Third Place Game, the Fort Zumwalt West Jaguars defeated the Lafayette Lancers by a final score of 5-2. Congratulations to all the teams and thanks for a great tournament!

Thursday, July 23 2009 Marquette Preseason Tournment Dates Set The Marquette Mustangs will be hosting our 15th annual pre-season Varsity tournament in September. Current plans are for an eight to ten team tournament divided into two brackets. Each team will be guaranteed three games. The top four teams after the first three games against divisional opponents will advance to the Semi-Finals for the right to play in the Championship game or the Third-Place game. The top four teams will play five total games. The tournament fee is $1100. Games are currently scheduled to be played at the Hardee’s IcePlex in Chesterfield from Friday, September 11th, 2009 through Monday, September 21st, 2009. Updates on the tournament schedule and participating teams will be posted on the tournament website as they become available. Friday, August 29 REVISED Tournament Schedule As some or most of you know, I've been trying to re-work some of the tournament schedule for the past few days to help accommodate a few teams' conflicts with the original schedule. Thank you to the all of the teams that have allowed their schedule to be tweaked! I did not have to make ALL of the changes that I had been asking teams about, so please check your team's revised schedule and send me an e-mail to let me know that you've confirmed it -- I did have to make changes to five of the eighteen scheduled games.
