Development Camp On-ice schedule
The initial groups are listed below. Please keep in mind that there can and will be adjustments made to the groups as the summer progresses. Some players may be invited to participate with multiple groups on a regular basis or when a group is going to be missing players. I will communicate directly with the player on all changes to the lists below. There may be occasions where a player is asked that night to stay and skate with the next group, but as with all sessions, it is optional and we understand if your schedule does not permit it. I encourage players to speak with me in person if they have questions about their group placement. Also, remember to check the website prior to leaving for off-ice. Cancellations due to inclement weather will be posted on the web-site. Thanks,Coach Kane

Marquette Hockey Comprehensive Summer Development Program
CHECK THE WEBSITE CALENDAR FOR ALL PROGRAM DATES AND TIMES.
In case you did not receive the e-mail information on the specifics of the program, it is posted below.
Thank you for signing up for the Marquette Hockey Comprehensive Summer Development Program! The coaching staff greatly looks forward to working with the players that have signed up and helping them to achieve their hockey and fitness goals. You are not required to attend any given session, but when you are there, you must stay focused, be self motivated, work with intensity and have a positive impact on the group. If you act like you don’t want to be there, you will be asked to leave because this attitude will slow the progress of the rest of the group. Also, players who plan on participating on a given day need to be there on-time with the necessary equipment!
There is no need to give notice if you are going to miss a dryland training session. If you know you will be unable to attend an on-ice session, try to give Coach Kane some notice so he can make the necessary adjustments (invite additional players and/or adjust the training plan).
Players need to make sure they are hydrating and eating properly to ensure top performance and results. Drink lots of water leading up to and after all workouts or you will be at risk of health issues.
ON- ICE à All ice times are at Hardee’s Iceplex. Players need to be fully dressed and ready 5 minutes before each ice time. Full equipment (including full cages) is required for every on-ice session. Player groups will be determined by the coach and are subject to change during the program. Do not assume you can attend any session you want to be with your friends, get extra ice-time, etc. These groups are set to benefit everyone participating and the coaches set them up for a reason. Groups will be posted on the web-site and you should check the web-site prior to each session. If you show up for a session you are not assigned to, without coaches prior approval, you will not be allowed on the ice.
OFF-ICE à All dryland sessions will be held at Bluebird Park – drop off and pick up will be in far back parking lot (follow the signs back to the picnic areas and keep on going until you get to the baseball fields). Off-ice sessions are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. We will post cancellations on the website (http://www.eteamz.com/marquettehockey/) before 9:15am the day of. If you do not see a cancellation notice on the website by 9:15am, we are on. If we encounter inclement weather after we have already started, the group will seek cover and await pick up.
PLAYERS NEED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO ALL DRYLAND SESSIONS:- Water!- Athletic/running shoes- Wear proper outdoor workout attire (light material shorts and a light colored t-shirt)- Hockey stick for off-ice stick handling and hockey gloves – no tape on the blade and it should be approx. 1.5 inches shorter than your on-ice sticks….pucks/balls will be provided.- Workout Mat – I think the foam kind work the best, but you may also use a beach towel. - Other items may be added as we go.
*IMPORTANT* - In the past, our USA Hockey IMRs were good through the summer, but they have changed the expiration date to April. So, all players must go to USA Hockey (www.usahockey.com) online to get a new IMR. Your new IMR will expire next April so you will be good to go for the coming season.

SPRING HOCKEY NOTICE
As most of you already know, the Spring JV and C leagues have ended abruptly. The League we played in is currently not operating. Those of you who were participating on our Spring C and JV teams have or will shortly receive a refund from us for the lost games. We are sorry this happened but it was beyond our control. We will not be participating in Summer hockey at any level this year for a variety of reasons, but we do hope you will join us for our Comprehensive Summer Development Program. At the present time, it looks like Mid-states will be expanding to run the traditional Varsity and JV divisions as in the past, as well as a new Developmental JV and C league. This will enable Marquette Hockey to field teams at all levels as we have in the past. We will keep you informed as information becomes available.
