2009 Champions of - Mississauga International Tournament

                                                            

The weekend of May 16-18 the Markham Lightning (1996) boys were crowned Champions of the prestigious Mississauga International Tournament for 2009. The boys played 6 hard-fought games in 3 days on their way to capturing "the Falcon" including intense games versus tough squads from Spartacus, Brampton Blast, and Ajax Thunder. 

The boys showed great team spirit and determination as they pulled together to capture the Championship.  They followed it up with a night-cap CSL Cup game in Newmarket where they pulled off a win.

Quite a busy weekend of soccer. The boys showed great endurance and excellent team play.
