The Marin Blue Angels is a competitive softball program that is committed to providing a high-level softball experience for players who wish to develop themselves into successful high school or perhaps collegiate athletes. Blue Angels supports teams in several age groups who play exclusively in ASA "A" level tournaments. Players can be selected from any area, including not only Marin County, but throughout the Bay Area. All players are selected by try-outs. Blue Angels operates year-around, including college exposure events in the fall for older players.

Blue Angels teams play extensive tournament schedules, including travel outside of Northern California. These teams also practice as frequently as possible based on their tournament schedules and the schedules and rules of the recreation leagues or high school teams where their athletes also participate.

Blue Angels players are serious about fastpitch, but they understand that athletics offers the fun of both teamwork and individual growth. They are taught by coaches who are selected for their competitive softball expertise, their teaching credentials and their ability to energize a team. Most Blue Angels coaches lead high school teams or have extensive collegiate backgrounds or both. All have demonstrated that they provide a positive approach to the game and to their players.

Blue Angels is a fee-based program that sets costs commensurate with the numbers, types and locations of the tournaments entered. Fee expenses and family expenses for travel to distant tournaments are significant. Requests for scholarships are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please also note that Marin Girls Softball offers another competitive summer softball program called Tremors that offers an alternative for those players who want to play summer ball but might not find the best fit with Blue Angels. Please see the Tremors tab on this website. Or please contact Mike Iker, president of Marin Girls Softball and a member of the Blue Angels board at 415-407-0460 or mgiker@sbcglobal.net for more information about both programs.
