MARCUS CC RUNNER OFF TO RUN IN COLLEGE!
TARA GRUBER SIGNS WITH UAB.....
Marcus Distance Runner Tara Gruber has signed with
The University of Alabama in Birmingham. Gruber, a 2003 Class 5A State Champion in the 1,600 meters, overcame a nagging back injury to
qualify for her 4th consecutive cross country state meet this fall.
Gruber a second-team Denton County Morning News all area cross country selection, helped Marcus to a third place finish a the state meet November 13th.
"When people talk about the great female distance runners in the state of Texas, Tara Gruber's name always comes up," UAB Coach Ray Stanfield saidin a prepared statement. "She is an outstanding talent and a terrfic young lady. Tara will cotribute immediately to the success we are having."
