Fall Ball season

The summer is winding down and its almost time for school, and that means it almost Fall Ball season. We plan on having two Fall Ball sign-ups on Saturday August 9th and 16th from 9 AM to 12 Noon at South Little League.

  • Practices will begin Friday August 22nd
  • Games will begin Mid September and last until the end of October (weather permitting).  We anticipate games against area leagues such as Bedford, Goffstown, Manchester East, Manchester North, Manchester West and Windham.
  • The games will be played Friday Night, Saturday afternoon, or Saturday nights.
  • Registration Fee will be $20 and will cover the expense of a South Fall Ball Shirt and Hat.
  • Players between 6 and 11 are eligible to participate
  • We will be having in house skills and scrimmaging for our younger kids
  • Players 8-11 will be assigned to either the Major or Minor team based on skill level.
If for some reason, you cannot make either registrations, don’t worry, just let me know you are still interested.
Also, if you are interested in coaching let me know. We will have multiple teams and it’s always great to have lots of help. This is also a good opportunity for newer coaches to learn as well!
Fall ball is entirely about having fun and skill development.  All players, regardless of skill or experience, are welcome!
Thank you,
Coach Tim Pike

Home Run Derby Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation.

Hi my name is Hannah Gardner, student at Central High School. For my school marketing and Deca project my group and I have organized a Home Run Derby at Padden field on October 26th at 12-3 to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation. It is $10 per person so play and split into a boys and girls division. In each division the winner will receive a prize. Also we will be selling raffle tickets to raffle off a prize and have a concession stand. Each participant will have 7 outs. We would love if South Little League could participate in this event. Thank you for your consideration and hopefully your participation!

Manchester Little Leaguers Get All Star Experience

Fisher Cats Take Game Experience On The Road

Little League Players Get All Star Experience

MANCHESTER, N.H. —The Manchester South Little League All-Star Game felt like a Fisher Cats baseball game on Saturday.

There were games for the fans, the Fisher Cats' mascot Fungo was in attendance, and an announcer and turf manager were on hand.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats teamed up with Citizens Bank to treat the players to a major league experience. The league won a contest called Take The Show On The Road, which recognized a little league that showed sportsmanship and integrity.

Each batter was announced just like a professional baseball player would be.

"It's been outstanding," said Michael Parisi from Citizens Bank. "Engagement with the kids, a lot of laughs, a lot of good times. It's nice to see the grounds crew work on the fields and give the kids something special."

Manchester South Little League was selected from 20 other leagues. Three other leagues -- Londonderry Athletic and Field Association, Concord Little League, and Hollis-Brookline Cal Ripken -- won prizes that include free group trips to a Fisher Cats game.
