Board Meeting Minutes
September 13, 2009

Opening:

The regular meeting of the Maltby Pony Baseball (MPB) board of Directors was called to order at 7:00 pm on September 13, at Maltby Congregational Church by Mike Fenner

Present:

Board Members (9) – Steve Fishman, Patty Venema, Mike Fenner, Ben Ropka, Miranda Noe, George Barncut, Jim Sanders, Kirk Gillette

A.           Approval of Agenda

The agenda for this meeting was accepted by vote.

B.         Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the previous meeting in July were approved.

C.         Old Business

Nominations were taken for the 2009-10 Board. Steve Fishman was nominated for the Umpire Director, Steve Fishman was nominated for the President, Jeff Dyer was nominated for the Bronco Director, Still need to fill the Pony Director, Treasurer, and Pinto Director positions. Patty motioned that we accept nominations that were made and Steve seconded the motion. Motion was approved. The board discussed making the president a paid position. The Board passed a motion to pay the president $2000 with the first payment of $1500 to be made on January 1st and the remaining balance to be paid on June 1st.

D.        New Business

Financial Update- Last payment has not been made to the ECPD, awaiting Breakdown of the lighting bill as well as an accounting of usage that the ECPD allowed outside of Maltby Baseball. Pony Fees for the upcoming Pony season were discussed, All players will receive $100 dollars worth of $5 raffle tickets at registration and can then choose to sell the tickets or hold onto them. In addition to the fundraising money the fees for Pony shall be $250.00 for Cascade and $350.00 for Olympic. Jim motioned and Patty seconded a motion for the fees. The motion was passed by the board.
