Football & Cheer Association (MYFA)

Magnolia Youth Football and Cheer Association is part of the Lone Star Football Youth Alliance (LSYFA). The Lone Star Youth Football Alliance (LSYFA) is a service youth football organization whose purpose is to provide organized scheduling for member leagues and provide common age groups, weight limits, and playing rules.

July 1st will start late sign-ups! Price: $220.00 including buyout!

We will be registering the day of draft starting at 8am.

If you have not provided us a copy of your child's birth certificate, please bring one on Draft Day!

DRAFT DAY 

Draft Day is set for July 18th. Everyone needs to come to Draft Day, even if your child has played before!  For the 2009 season, MYFA has decided to go draft. All the leagues in the LSYFA have done the same. The coaches all agreed that this is something that will make the teams more balanced and more competitive. At the end of the draft, the coaches will have time to make trades.

Times for draft are:

Seniors (11 - 12 year olds): 9 am-11 am

Juniors (9 -10 year olds): 11 am - 1 pm

Sophomores (7 - 8 year olds): 1 pm - 3 pm

Freshmen (5 - 6 year olds): 3 pm - 5 pm

(Age as of July 31, 2009)

Please make sure your child is at the field 30 minutes before their draft time! He will only need to wear shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes or football cleats.

SPONSORS FOR THE 2009 SEASON

We are looking for sponsors for for the 2009 season. If you would like to help these kids have a successful season by sponsoring MYFA or if you know someone who would like to sponsor your child, please fill out the Sponsor form. Sponsor form can be found by clicking on the 2009 Information tab at the top of the website. The sponsor can put down an individual's name and that child will get credit for the sponsorship! MYFA will be hosting our annual golf tournament on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Individual players will be $125.00 and teams will be $400.00. Each football team will be responsible for getting one team together. For more information or to sign up, please contact Julie Faulkner at 832-620-5091.

Opening Day Ceremony will be on August 29th.

We are in need of another workday at the field! Please come and help get the field ready for a great season! We will be meeting up at the field on July 11th from 9 - 3 or until done! ALL BOARD MEMBERS AND COACHES will need to be there to help! If you are not able to make it, contact Tommy and let him know! We look forward to seeing you there!
