Caddo Magnet Over Huntington 9 to 0

The Mustangs, fresh off a scoring extravaganza this past weekend in Sulphur, jammed five goals into the net in the first twelve minutes of the contest and coasted to its seventh shutout in eight attempts. Scoring in the first minute from just right of the goal was Steven Bush who headed in a long pass from Adam West. The next four would come in rapid-fire order from Mustang forwards Alex Blandin and West as they notched two apiece, with Blandin assisting West on one of those. At the fifteen minute mark the entire squad left the field in your basic eleven-man substitution. Midfielder Jordan Abdehou finished out the first half scoring with a goal from the top of the eighteen a couple of minutes prior to the whistle.

In the second half forward Jordan Mitchell got on the board with a goal in the 43rd minute (assist by keeper Chris Hilario who was now playing the forward spot). Forward Dorian Long added another shortly thereafter from ten yards out. With about twenty minutes to go in the game there was another mass rotation as the starting eleven returned to the field. The last goal came shortly after off a set piece as Zach Kelly sent in a corner kick to West who delivered his third goal of the night.  With that the strategy then turned to full-field keep-away.  A few Huntington players were openly amused and began to show their comedy side. Within minutes the infectious attitude had spread to both sides and the whole place turned into comedy central. Hadn’t heard this much chatter since… well, never.  And on a very cold night with laughter all around this one was finally over.  Final score - 9 to 0.
