MAGNET SOCCER

Soccer Tryouts:  Monday Oct. 26th & Tuesday Oct. 27th from 4-5:30 at AC Steere Park

First Practice:  Monday Nov. 2nd - both Varsity and JV will practice before the parents' meeting. 

Mandatory Parents' Meeting:  Monday Nov. 2nd at 6pm.  Uniforms will be handed out and team fees collected..  You must pay your team fee in order to receive your uniform.  The boys will be responsible for purchasing their own socks.  When the team socks arrive at Sportspectrum, I will send out an email. 

First Game:  Thursday Nov 5th  -  Magnet v. Loyola  - time and place TBA   

Team fees & Fundraisers:

Team Fee - Varsity $300     JV $250  Team fee due 11-2-09 at parents' meeting.  

Sponsorships - Varsity $200 - Each varsity player will be required to sell $200 in sponsorships.  Sponsorship money due to treasurer 11-30-09.  The levels of sponsorship are as follows -Gold $200 - name listed in game program, on team website, and prominently on sign hung at games.Silver $100 - name listed in game program, on team website, and on sign hung at games.Bronze $50 - name listed in game program and on team website. 

Buffalo Wild Wings Day - Wednesday 12-09-2009 - Team will receive 20% of sales from BWW on 12-9-09 for anyone bringing in a Magnet Soccer flyer.  Each player will be asked to hand out flyers. 

Candy Sales - JV - Each JV player will be required to sell 2 boxes of candy.  Candy will be handed out at parents' meeting.  Candy money due to treasurer 11-30-09.

School Picnics - Nov 6th and April 16th.  Parents needed to cook and sell hamburgers.           
We hope to raise enough money from the sponsorships and candy sales to buy new warmups this year.  

Varsity Tournaments:  The boys will take a bus to these tournaments and spend Friday night in a hotel.  Reservations have been made for players, coaches, and the teacher sponsor.

2)  Dec. 4th & 5th Sulphur Tournament, Sulphur

3)  Dec. 18th & 19th Louisiana Showcase, Lake Charles 

JV Tournaments:

 1)  Nov. 20th & 21st Southwood Tournament, Shreveport 

2)  Dec.  18th & 19th St Thomas Moore Tournament, Lafayette

3)  Jan. 15th & 16th Parkway Tournamnet, Bossier City
