15U wins USABF World Series Championship (click here)
The 15 year old Mad Dogs USABF team earned the #1 seed in pool play but let their guard down in the opening round of the double elimination playoff. That seemed to wake the sleeping Dogs up. They scored over 12 runs per game sweeping 3 straight games and skunked the Gamers 12-0 in the Championship game at Pt Loma Nazarene.
Shane Coleman had a great tournament with a bunch of hits including 2 homers to add to his complete game shutout masterpiece in the final game.
Mark Young went 19-25 (0.760) with 5 triples leading all tournament hitters in average.
Matt Derosier and Stephen Johnston nailed down Wins when it counted to set Shane up for the final dance.
James Martin (aka Big League), Frankie Mello, Matt Melanese, Eddie Alvarez, Rory Wagner, Kyle Provancha, Joey Parisi, Leo Baltazar, Xavier Daniels, Gordy Juarez and Justin McKinney all had great tournaments as well.
Way to go Dogs!!!

18U Academy wins 2010 USABF World Series Championship!!! (click here)
Trey Hunt, Kyle McBride, Charles Mormon and Austin Trammell were a modern day version of Murderer's Row. Each had 2 home runs during the tourney.
Pat Plein showed off what he learned at the Stanford camp and went 3 for 3 with a jack in the Championship game.
Steve Solivan, Jonny Alegria, Jonathon Howarth, Wes Judisch, Sean Ross, Steve Liu, Matt Haskins and Cris Camarda all pitched in as well.
Steve Solivan was also solid on the mound giving up only 3 or so hits in 7 solid innings of work. Jay Fleer and Robbie Schmidt were work horses and kept us alive. Chris Rosa threw a complete game beating a tough Waves team from Santa Clara to pave the way to the championship game. Johnny Lee showed true character supporting the team throughout while nursing an aching arm.
