MACVC Championships
The MACVC conducts the season ending championships the Saturday prior to the NIRSA Club Championships. The format which has been used for championship saturday is 4 pools of 4 teams (match play, best 2/3) followed by a single elimination match play bracket. Teams are seeded 1-16 based on the regular season results and teams are selected to championships via divisional qualification and at-large selection. Divisional qualification is established at the MACVC annual meeting prior to the start of the competitive season. If a team wishes to host championships for a particular year, they should send the MACVC details including a proposed date & available courts (min of 3 courts, 4 courts are preferred). The MACVC takes care of the ancillary arrangements (officials, balls, paperwork, etc). The host is to provide the net systems, referee stands, antenna, etc. We will work with schools hosting championships on details such as trainers & required insurance - what the MACVC has not incurred is court rental charges which would result in a significant monetary expenditure.
