It is the purpose of the Lancaster Youth Softball Association to create and maintain an outlet of activity for the development of sound mind and body for the youth of our community. LYSA has a goal of providing the opportunity for our youth to participate in healthy social interaction, competition, and skill enhancement for mental, physical, and emotional growth. LYSA is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.

The LYSA League Tournament Brackets have now been posted.  Keep the following in mind:

-Any rainouts 6/29-7/2 will likely be made up the week of 7/6-7/9 (thus pushing back those games to Monday 7/13 more than likely).  Any games rained out 7/6-7/9 will likely be made up Monday 7/13.  In the even of rainouts all coaches will be emailed with make up dates and they will be posted on this website.

-Forfeits are not allowed in the league tournament.

-Home team will be determined by coin flip and dugouts are first-come first-served.

 -All teams are guaranteed 2 games though some may end up playing 3-4 (please note that there are 3rd place games in all championship brackets).

 New Victorian Suites is located at 50th and O street.  They have a beautiful 83 room all suites facility. They have King single and double queen suites that will sleep 4 - 6 people. There is an Indoor pool and hot tub, huge free breakfast bar, meeting room,  and exercise room. All suites have refrigerator, microwave, irons and ironing boards, and hair dryers. All the comforts of home.  Your LYSA rate will be $59.

To receive the discounted rate the guest must type LYSA into the COMPANY CODE box located on the "STAY INFO" tab when making an internet reservation.
 
The guest may call the hotel direct at 402-464-4400 to make their reservation and mention the LYSA code to the reservation agent to receive the discounted rate.
 
The $59.00 rate is valid for a suite with one King size bed or a suite with two Queen size beds at the New Victorian Suites located at 50th & "O" in Lincoln, NE.  All suites include a microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, and cable tv.  Most suites also include a fold-out sofa sleeper.
 
Guests will enjoy the property amenities, which include a FREE deluxe 26 item breakfast bar served daily from 5 am to 11 am, a heated indoor pool and hot tub open 24 hours, exercise room, free high-speed wireless internet, on-site guest laundry facilities, business center, free cookies & coffee 24 hours per day in the lobby, and a free Lincoln Journal Star newspaper available in the lobby daily.

LYSA is renting out practice times at Doris Bair Complex to LYSA teams. $10 for a 2 hour slot. After dark? No problem, we'll turn on the lights! Want a practice time? Email Matt at mulemullendore@yahoo.com.

Online Practice Field Reservation System

Beginning Friday, May 1, 2009 an online system is available to reserve practice times at many of the Lincoln Parks and Recreation softball/baseball fields.

There are two levels of fields available; Game quality and Practice quality. Game quality fields include Holmes Park, Lewis Fields, Mahoney Park and Sawyer Snell.  Practice quality fields include 40^th & Hwy 2, Peterson Park, Pine Lake Fields, Roper Park and Tyrrell Park.

Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance.

To access the website go to lincoln.ne.gov and use the keyword: fields.

There is a fee associated with reserving a field so you will need a credit card to finish you reservation.  Remember to print your receipt as proof of your reservation

It is recommended that you register with “MyInterLinc”.  When you register with MyInterLinc it will speed up the process of making a reservation and you will be able to view your history and reprint you receipts should you lose or misplace the original.
