Locust Youth AssociationMission Statement To provide the youth of Locust with an opportunity to participate in sports activities for the purpose of building character, promoting sportsmanship, developing athletes, and most importantly, growing future leaders for all areas of life.
CORE VALUES:
Integrity – We will conduct all activities of the Association with an emphasis on “doing the right thing every time”.
Participation – All children will be encouraged to participate without discrimination of any kind for any reason.
Sportsmanship – Coaches, players and spectators will practice good sportsmanship at all times in all situations.
Player Development – Coaches will help every player improve on his/her athletic ability no matter the level of giftedness.
Love of the Game – All Coaches and volunteers will work tirelessly to instill a “Love of the Game” in each youth so that they may enjoy and always want to be a part of youth sports.
Leadership – We will develop future leaders by selecting only individuals of solid character to teach, train, and coach our players and by displaying a good example during all association activities.
Locust Youth Association is composed of volunteers dedicated to this mission and Core Value statement: To better protect our kids and volunteers, enforce a zero tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike conduct and inappropriate behavior of Coaches, athletes and spectators. Locust Youth Association’s goal is to provide a positive environment for kids to learn and compete.
