ROLE OF THE PARENT
The parents of millions of Little Leaguers combined with their children, league officials, umpires, managers, coaches, and countless volunteer agencies including sponsors, represent an imposing cross section of our world. Parents must take the initiative to make the local program successful. Little League is not a club in which membership implies babysitting benefits and entertainment privileges. Practically speaking, Little League is an adult, volunteer work project constructed, supervised and assisted by parents who want to extend this benefit to their children. The parent who shirks this responsibility cannot,in turn, expect others to assume the burden.

HELMET POLICY / ATHLETIC SUPPORTERS
For health and safety reasons it is manditory that players in PeeWee and above obtain their own baseball helmet. Lynn Valley Little League will be selling high quality helmets at opening day Saturday April 14th at Kilmer Park from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. (Rain or shine!) The cost will be $20.00 including tax. Please have exact change or a cheque made out to LVLL. Helmets will also be sold during the regular season at the Kilmer Park concession. T-Ball players are also encouraged to purchase their own helmet, although at this level LVLL will make a set of 4 helmets available for games.
ATHLETIC SUPPORTERS ARE MANDATORY FOR
PEEWEE AND ABOVE.
UNIFORM POLICY
Replacing and maintaining baseball uniforms, team and field equipment takes up a large part of our annual budget. Proper care and the prompt return of the uniforms and equipment will mean your registration dollars are not wasted. Helpful Hints:
- Never wear your uniform (American Minors and up) to practices
Keep the uniforms clean...new stains are easier to remove than old ones
Hang dry or dry uniforms on the gentle cycle
Return uniforms and other team equipment promptly on the last day of the season
To also assist in the collection and return of the uniforms and equipment, the Board has instituted the following procedures:
- Players (American Minor and up) must return the full uniform and any team equipment to the coach following the team's last game
Coaches are responsible to advise each player of this procedure
Coaches must return all uniforms and team equipment to the Division Coordinator at the end of the season. The uniforms and team equipment must match each team's inventory list.
Division Coordinators are responsible to ensure that each team's inventory is complete or variances explained
Division Coordinators are responsible for returning all uniforms in clean condition in the provided container.
Any LVLL equipment or uniforms from past years can be dropped off at the Kilmer concession during the baseball season
Thanks for your help!
