Wednesday, July 2Howells, Cooperman Named LVBA Players of the Week
For the second week in a row, players from Lower Macungie and South Parkland have earned Player of the Week honors in the Lehigh Valley Legion Baseball League. Jeremy Howells of Lower Mac and Casey Cooperman of South Parkland have been named Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy Players of the Week for the week ending June 29th. As Offensive Player of the Week, Howells was 7 for 13 with 3 doubles, 6 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. He batted 0.538 with a slugging percentage of 0.769. In earning Pitcher of the Week honors, Cooperman pitched a complete game, 3-hit shutout against Northwestern, striking out 11 and walking none. Congratulations to Jeremy and Casey on their accomplishments for the week.

LVLBL Players Advance in State Showcase
Three players from the Lehigh Valley Legion Baseball League were selected to the All-East game in the next round of State All-Star competition to be held in Harrisburg on July 16th. They are Outfielder Mike Fignar of Northwestern, Third Baseman Tyler Kuhns of Salisbury, and Pitcher Brian Ernst of Salisbury.
Congratulations to Mike, Tyler, and Brian on their accomplishments so far.
