Ryan was the model of consistency this season with 23 hits in 51 plate appearances. Always a threat at the plate, Ryan had an overall season batting average of .548 which included 3 home runs and 14 RBI
Andrew was in repeat mode this year as he also took home the pitcher of the year award in 2017. He was a dominant workhorse for Salisbury again this year. Andrew led the league in strike outs with 36, innings pitched at 39 and ran away with wins at a whopping 7.
Both players were highly instrumental in leading Salisbury to back to back regular season titles including a trip to Regionals in 2017.
This was the final year of legion eligibility for both recipients and the league would like to express its gratitude for their unwavering commitment to American Legion Baseball over the past few years.
Both have displayed all of the qualities that legion baseball has strived to instill in its participants. Job well done by both!
