LVGSA is Proud to Present our Winter Clinic with Instructor Karen Fucito

Karen Fucito is a life-long softball player, clinician & coach. She was a four-year starter at East Stroudsburg University, Division III – position: shortstop & third base. Her team was PSAC Champions in Spring of 1980 & 1981. She has been a private hitting & fielding/throwing instructor in Morris & Sussex Counties. She was a private hitting instructor with Grand Slam of Rockaway for two years. She was a clinician for the Rockaway Rampage for 4 years and for various other towns and programs including Jefferson, Roxbury, Mendham, Rockaway, Fairfield & Pingry High School. From 2000 to 2009 she has worked in Sparta as head coach for the 10U, 12U & 14U programs, as well as the clinician for the travel and recreation programs. She is currently the softball coach at St. Paul’s High School in Sparta.

LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS / IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS

Grades K & 1: Infield/Outfield Positioning, Step & Throw, Two-Hand Catch, Bat Grip & Level Swing

Grades 2 & 3: All the above plus Ball Grip, Throwing Accuracy, Fielding Grounders & Pop-ups, Quick Swing

Grades 4 & 5: All the above plus Defensive Footwork, Base Running, Bunting & Slapping
