Diversity is…….The Lumberton Hurricanes Youth Cheerleaders

I am a Lumberton Youth Cheerleader.

My team is very diverse. 

Each girl on my squad is so different. 

We don’t look the same.

We don’t speak the same.

Our skin colors are all different.

Some are white and some are black.

Not all of us can do a cartwheel, handstand or a backbend but that never stops us from working together as a team.

We encourage each other.

Even though we are diverse, we still love being together.  

     

No one on my team is the same.

Some have curly hair, some have straight hair.

Some have short hair, some have long hair.

We all have different roles on the team.

Everyone is important.

Some of our bodies are skinny, some are not so skinny.

But we all are the same. 

We are a team.

We are one.

We are the Lumberton Hurricanes. 

Welcome to Hurricanes Youth Football & Cheer 

Independent of whether your child is returning for another year with the Hurricanes, has never participated in football or cheer, or has but as part of a different organization, we'd like to welcome you to the Lumberton Hurricanes.

We have a dedicated Board, group of Coaches and Volunteers that support the HYFC (Hurricanes Youth Football Club) and are focused on ensuring that your child's experience exceeds your expectations.  We are looking forward to seeing many familiar faces return, and to welcoming many new families to our program, in 2012.

Our goal is to be viewed as the benchmark program for youth football & cheer in South Jersey.  We will measure our achievement against this goal based upon the development of our participants over the course of a season, and the degree to which children, parents and coaches believe that their season has been a rewarding experience and want to return the following year.
