Lubbock Renegades Back In Business!
The Lubbock Renegades are officially "BACK IN BUSINESS" for the 2007 season. The Renegades will be entering into their fourth season and the 2006 W.T.F.L. Champions. Although the W.T.F.L. was a great experience, the Renegades will be seeking new challenges in a different league this year. "I feel we have enough talent to compete with anyone, anywhere" said team owner Chris Vargas.
There were complications early that arose from the newly formed AF2 team in Lubbock, when they announced their name would be the Lubbock Renegades. What seemed to be a dilemma early on would eventually turn into a great opportunity. When both Lubbock Renegades had a meeting about the future of the Minor League team it was decided that both teams would use the same name and would work together in an effort to bring the highest quality sports to Lubbock. The Lubbock Renegades will also act as a feeder team to the AF2 team.
With an always-evolving team, the Lubbock Renegades are seeking new talent. If you or anyone you know would be interested in being part of a winning tradition, you can contact the organization at (806) 928-0882 or e-mail us at lubbockrenegades@yahoo.com .

Lubbock Renegades Emerge W.T.F.L. Champions !
As of June 17, 2006 all questions were answered as to who was the BEST in the West. The Championship Game would host two of the most exiting teams in the the West Texas Football League. For the third time this season the Lubbock Renegades would face the Lea County Lightning to once again revive that Black and Gray Rivalry.
The game was originally scheduled to host the Abilene Texans, but after postponing the game an extra week to try to accomodate the Texans we were informed on Monday June 12, 2006 that they would not be able to make the trip do to a lack of players. With the #2 Texans not being able to compete, they would forfeit their position to the #3 seed. The Lea County Lightning responded in one day as only a true competitor would.
The Lubbock Renegades locked in the #1 seed in the regular season thus earning a bye week and in postponing the game it would give them an extra week off. When the Lighting locked in the game it was even more motivation for the Renegades. With the overall record versus the Lightning at 2-3 it was a chance to even the score. Loaded with anxiety the Renegades were ready for any opponent.
