2012 Evaluations for boys ages 8 and up

2012 Baseball Evaluations dates:

Saturday February 11th, and Saturday February 25th

All evaluation sessions will be held at the Refton Brethren in Christ Church, Refton PA. Please make note of the schedule below, and your player’s age to plan accordingly:

Saturday, February 11th –

8:00am – 9:15am: Rookie Baseball/Coach Pitch (NEW THIS YEAR).

All baseball players league age 6 – 8 (age as of 4/30/12) that have played one year of T-ball. Any 8 year olds desiring to evaluate to play Minor baseball (kid pitch) MUST EVALUATE IN ONE OF THE TWO MINOR TIME SLOTS

9:30am – 11:00am: Minor Baseball Session 1 (last names A thru L)

All baseball players league age 9 – 10 (age as of 4/30/12) PLUS any 8 year olds desiring to evaluate to play Minor baseball (kid pitch) – 8 YEAR OLDS WANTING TO PLAY MINORS MUST ATTEND AN EVALUATION SESSION IN ITS ENTIRETY

11:15am – 12:45pm: Major Baseball Session 1 (last names A thru L)

All baseball players league age 11 – 12 (age as of 4/30/12)

Saturday, February 25th –

8:30am – 10:00am: Minor Baseball Session 2 (last names M thru Z) All baseball players league age 9 – 10 (age as of 4/30/12) PLUS any 8 year olds desiring to evaluate to play Minor baseball (kid pitch) – 8 YEAR OLDS WANTING TO PLAY MINORS MUST ATTEND AN EVALUATION SESSION IN ITS ENTIRETY

10:15am – 11:45am: Major Baseball Session 2 (last names M thru Z) All baseball players league age 11 – 12 (age as of 4/30/12)

In order to participate in evaluations, all players must be registered and paid in full to play in the Spring season for insurance purposes. For planning purposes, LS Little League asks that all players participating in player evaluations email Eric Buck at ebuck@phcunity.com to confirm their evaluation date and timeslot.

IF YOUR PLAYER HAS A CONFLICT THAT WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO ATTEND THEIR DESIGNATED EVALUATION TIMESLOT, PLEASE EMAIL ERIC BUCK TO INQUIRE AS TO AVAILABILITY IN THE ALTERNATE TIMESLOT THAT IS AVAILABLE.

Would you like to get involved in your child's Little League experience,
in some way other than coaching?
 
We may have just the opportunity for you!
 
LL Umpire Patch 
 We're hoping to recruit some additional Field Umpires this year. The new umpires will assist our team of experienced umpires, who will continue to handle umpiring duties behind the plate. 
 
A training session is being held in late March/early April 2012. The training will cover basic rules and rule myths, and will be geared toward new umpires. It will be held at the Lancaster Recreation Commission, 525 Fairview Ave, Lancaster PA 17603. Watch the website for more details.

Sponsorship Information

Team and League Sponsorship

The overwhelming support and volunteer effort from parents and the local community make our Little League program a tremendous part of the lives of our children.  For 2012, L-S Little League is offering two opportunities to support the league:

1. Team Sponsorship. Priced at $400.00 per year, a Sponosor's donation helps to cover the anticipated costs of an L-S Little League team for the season. For your $400.00 Sponsorship, your company will be afforded the following exposure:

• Company Name printed on the shirts of one team (12-15 players and coaches). This opportunity is offered on a “first-come, first-served” basis.

• Small (3’ x 1’) company banner to be provided by league, and hung on dugout fence at Jaycee Park

• Opportunity to display your company banner during Opening Day ceremonies.

• Your company logo will be displayed proudly on the L-S Little League website, with a link to your company’s website.

• Recognition in newsletters, LS Little League Facebook page and other L-S Little League publications.

2. League Sponsorship. Priced at $750.00, your donation will support the operating costs of the league and secure your company the following exposure:

• Large (6’ x 3’) company banner hung on the outfield fence at Jaycee Park for three (3) years

• Your company logo will be displayed proudly on the L-S Little League website, with a link to your company’s website.

• Recognition in newsletters, LS Little League Facebook page and other L-S Little League publications.
