LRFC 95 Girls Blanked 3-0 by Older West Side Y Capitals 92s
The LRFC 95 girls followed a tough loss against a very good LRFC 96 boys team with a real challenge against the West Side Y Capitals 92 girls (U17-U18 team). The 95s started out fairly competitive but as the older team warmed up they increasingly showed their experience over the age gap difference. It was great competition for the 95s and four of the girls (Kate, Melissa, Meghan, and Kaitlin) actually got four shots off against a tough West Side defense. The 92s took a total of 14 shots on goal against Caitlin and Nasreen. Kaitlin (2), Anna (2) and Sara (1) were all credited with clears to stop West Side attacks. The older girls were awarded seven corner kicks to the 95s none, but fortunately they were not able to capitalize on any of their set plays from the corner.
