Ashley,

We are so sorry your injury has sidelined you for the rest of the season and will greatly miss you and your skills on the field. Hang tough and work hard on the rehab! This team needs you back on the field next season. We'll be praying for your recovery.

you really dont have to travel very far to find good teams and clubs
there are many scattered around in the states
i think the little rock futbol club is a very good club with exceptional teams and experienced coaches

Chantilly Firecats GU13 ('94/95) Virginia

Hey y'all. We're from the Washington DC area and are also a GU13 team. We play in the Washington Area Girls Soccer (WAGS) League against teams from Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. We have little states around here so we have to pile them together to make a league.

We started playing 11v11 at the begining of U12, though many of the states around us started at U11. Of course, everything has changed and the kids who are U12 this year are still playing 8v8 for one more season.

We usually only play local tournaments, but we're lucky because teams from all over the place like to play here so they can visit Washington DC. In our WAGS tournament last year we even got a team from Alaska. It's not uncommon to get teams from Colorado, Arizona and California too. Last year in the WAGS tournament we played Cincinnati, Raleigh/Durham and Bethesda. We also have the Jefferson Cup in Richmond that is played at the end of March. In that one we're playing Baltimore, Nashville and Detroit.

We have some really great teams in the area too and it's a pleasure to play against them on a regular basis. Herndon, VSA (Haymarket), Bethesda, Freestate (Annapolis) Westminster, Chantilly (crosstown rivals), Ashburn, McLean and many others give us day-in-and-day-out great teams to play against.

Do you have to travel far to find good teams?
