Middle School Boys Basketball Registration
The LaPorte Family YMCA starts registration for its middle school boys basketball program on Jan. 11. Participants may register during any open hours at the YMCA front desk.
Games are played Sunday evenings at the LaPorte High School field house and practices are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays at the YMCA. The program begins with a combine practice for all participants from 6-7 p.m. Monday, March 1, at the YMCA. The games begin Sunday, March 7, and run through Sunday, March 28.
The cost is $25 per child for YMCA members and $36 per child for non-members. All players receive a YMCA basketball t-shirt and awards.
The league has been selected as an affiliate of the Jr. NBA program, which provides valuable instructional materials for players, coaches, parents and officials. Participants are also eligible for the Jr. NBA recognition programs.
The league needs coaches and referees for the upcoming season.
