MISSION STATEMENT:
LPGSA is a non profit organization dedicated to the development of our youth through a judiciously supervised athletic competition. This program will endeavor to aid young women's development on their paths to becoming responsible adults. While the program stresses winning and the ability to compete at the highest levels, these are secondary. Among the goals the organization will attempt to achieve are self-esteem, team work, respect for authority, sportsmanship, honesty and fair play, respect for teammates and opponents, the ability to never give up, and leadership. LPGSA will also strive to teach the importance of proper fundamentals combined with smart play that will leave the participants with a firm foundation for the future. It is LPGSA's mission to encourage the positive qualities necessary to achieve happiness and success in today's society.

Candy fundraiser is a mandatory buyout for online registration.

Due to HURRICANE Ike issues with other leagues in our Softball Co-0p, we have decided to postpone try outs and extend registration until end of January 2009.
We will not have Tryouts This Weekend
LPGSA Board members will be at the field this weekend Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00 pm For extended Registration.
We will also have additional candy for those that have not received Candy or need more candy to sell. THE FAMILY THAT SELLS THE MOST CANDY WILL RECIEVE A 50.00 GIFT CARD.
There is a big meeting this Thursday with South East Co-op, South Belt, South Houston, Pasadena, Deer Park, Deep Water, LaPorte, we will be sending several board members to this meeting in hopes of gathering enough information to make some informed decisions concerning LaPorte and the other members of our Co-op.
By the Weekend we will have a better Feel for the other Leagues and will firm up registration and try out dates.
Tentatively we have scheduled Try outs for Monday night February 2, 2009 and Tuesday night February 3, 2009
We will keep everyone informed via Email and you can always check the rain out number and the Web Site

Reminder- ALL parents wishing to help out at practices and/or games must have an application on file. Give your team manager your application NOW if interested, it has to be approved before you can go on the field with the players.
