MISSION STATEMENT:
LPGSA is a non profit organization dedicated to the development of our youth through a judiciously supervised athletic competition. This program will endeavor to aid young women's development on their paths to becoming responsible adults. While the program stresses winning and the ability to compete at the highest levels, these are secondary. Among the goals the organization will attempt to achieve are self-esteem, team work, respect for authority, sportsmanship, honesty and fair play, respect for teammates and opponents, the ability to never give up, and leadership. LPGSA will also strive to teach the importance of proper fundamentals combined with smart play that will leave the participants with a firm foundation for the future. It is LPGSA's mission to encourage the positive qualities necessary to achieve happiness and success in today's society.

CHARITY TOURNAMENT
Turtle Luv Charity in conjunction with LaPorte Girls Softball is holding a charity tournament October 30 through September 1. We are asking every girl to bring a stuffed animal to donate to Turtle Luv. After the donations are collected Turtle Luv Charities will pass all the donated animals out at Texas Children’s Hospital. Come be apart of something special.

$50.00 entry fee & every girl brings a new stuffed animal to donate

Reminder- ALL parents wishing to help out at practices and/or games must have an application on file. Give your team manager your application NOW if interested, it has to be approved before you can go on the field with the players.

She stood at the plate
With her heart pounding fast
The bases are loaded
The die has been cast
Mom and Dad cannot help her
She stands all alone
A hit at this moment would
Send the team home
The ball nears the plate
She swings and she misses
There is a groan from the crowd
With some boos and hisses
A thoughtless voice cries
"Strike the girl out"
Tears fill her eyes
The game is no longer fun
Remember she's just a little girl
Who stands all alone
