LEDYARD-PAWCATUCK 2015 AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL SEASON

Ledyard - Pawcatuck

2015 Season

Updated News

The 2015 LP Season is just weeks away.  Schedules are final and posted on the website for both Senior and Juniors.

All returning eligible players as well as new players desiring to play American Legion Baseball in 2015 with the Ledyard-Pawcatuck program, tryouts for Senior and Junior Teams will be held on Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st at Ledyard High School from 10:00-12:30pm.  If Ledyard HS Team is still in the playoffs, tryouts will be held on the LOWER Field.

PLEASE NOTE TRYOUT INFORMATION:

Players from Ledyard HS as well as players from other High School teams who reside in our territory and are eligible to participate in American Legion Baseball with Ledyard-Pawcatuck and whose High School teams are in the State CIAC Tournament playoffs, those players will not be able to tryout until their High School Seasons have come to a conclusion.  The opportunity will still be there for their tryouts and participation after their HS Seasons have concluded as we will have practices and continued tryout for those unable to attend May 30th or May 31st.  If you are one of those players, please send an email to maxcruzin@yahoo.com to let us know the reason for not attending tryouts.

Other players not in the playoffs or on their current HS's post season roster will be allowed to tryout for LP.  This is a CT State CIAC and American Legion Rule and not a team rule.

NEW INFORMATION FOR 2015

Seniors who did not participate on the Senior Team last Season, but are still age eligible can tryout and play on the Senior Team.  Last season if a player did not participate in their last year of HS, they were not eligible to participate even if they were age eligible.  The State decided that it was unfair to not allow players who were within age eligibility not to participate.

Juniors Post Season Tournament is now DOUBLE ELIMINATION.
