Michael Oravets  -  Head Coach - Coach "O" enters his 24th season as a head cross country coach;  19 years at Arlington High School in Riverside and the previous four here at Los Osos.  His experience includes 24 seasons of coaching distance runners for the respective track teams.  Coach "O" graduated from Cal Poly Pomona and has taught American Government, Economics and World History for the past fourteen years.  He lives locally with his wife Heidi and their four young children.

Mike Volosin  -  Assistant Coach  -  Coach Mike has been coaching for 27 years and track and cross country for the past 13.  He has assisted here at Los Osos since the school opened and at Redlands East Valley prior to that.  He has also coached with the Southern California Road Runners youth team.  His other coaching experience lies in soccer. Coach Mike graduated from Youngstown State University where he played soccer for the "Penguins."  He lives locally with his wife and is the West Coast Manager with a manufacturing company here in Rancho Cucamonga.   

Shelly Mendez  -  Assistant Coach  -  Coach Shelly begins her third season with the team.  Born and raised in the cross country hotbed of Barstow, she earned her bachelor's degree in math from Cal Poly Pomona and stayed on to get a Masters in statistics.  She teaches math here at Los Osos and is married with two children.  An avid runner since 1993, she has run multiple road races including three half-marathons and one full marathon.
