Tuesday, September 11 Calendar Change - Sunset Preview Meet now Wednesday September 26th Our Sunset Preview Meet will be September 26, Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 pm at Central Park, Huntington Beach. Watch the calendar to see when the pasta party will be held. Friday, September 14 September 14th News.... Good luck at Woodbridge tomorrow!! It's a great, very fast course and you will make LAXC proud. Information on the Taste 4 Los Al ticket sales contest is now on the Taste page (link on the left). You can download more forms on the Download page. Sunday, September 16 GREAT JOB AT WOODBRIDGE Great Job last night at Woodbridge. There were many, many PR's run. Most ran 1-2 minutes better then they did the week before. Great Job. The Girls Varsity placed 4th in their Race, led by Katherine Veliki, Melissa Hastie, Jillian deAvila, Alex deAvila, and Jenne Shefski who led the scoring race. Danielle Fessenden and Leah Walden also ran under 20:00. The boys gave clutch performance, led by Jake Strange (15:35), Brad Kachigan (15:39), Paul Bailey (15:44), a huge PR from Joseph Harabedian (16:24), George Rivas (16:27) and Greg Zambrano, and Cole Sawyer. You all surpassed our expectations, Congrats. Tuesday, September 25 Midweek reminder... Don't forget to sell your Taste for Los Al tickets and turn in order forms and money next week! Good luck, everyone, at the Preview Meet Wednesday. Hydrate and run well! Thursday, September 27 Sunset League Preview Congrats on a great showing at Sunset League Preview. We had many great performances. Travis Frost had one of his best races ever, Katherine Velicki and Kelsey Salcido coming off injury ran gutsy races. Boys were led by Jake Strange with the fastest times of the afternoon for the boys followed by Brad Kachigan, Paul Bailey (who I am sure was a litte sore after our tustle at the Pasta Party, I know I am a little sore). The Varsity Boys are still in contention for a CIF berth. With a lot of hard work and determination they can finish 3rd in League and go on. The girls led by Katherine, Jillian, Alex, Melissa, Danielle, Leah and Jenne ran a great team time and served notice about what is still to come. With the same hard work and determination they can make some big waves this league. Overall we are in good shape. We need to work hard, and we can still do great things in the League. Go to the downloads section then to parent forms for full results. PICTURE DAY is Friday, October 19! Don't forget to bring your picture order forms, a check, and your uniform on Friday - pictures will be taken for the yearbook as well as individual shots. Friday, August 31 Cross Country Booster Club News
Welcome to our new parents, and welcome back to all of the returning parents! It’s hard to believe, but school starts next week and the first Cross Country meet is September 8. Our athletes have been training hard, and the Booster Club and coaches have also been preparing for the season. Cross country meets are mostly on Saturdays, at various courses. Each course is 3 miles long, but different in terrain and speed. Runners will travel to meets by bus, but parents are encouraged to drive to the meets to cheer for their runner and the team. Wear comfortable shoes, bring some water, and prepare to walk a lot. Bring your camera! Information on each meet is posted on the calendar section of the website. Some course maps are available under the Downloads menu at the left. Uniform sizing was held at practice last week for new runners (returning runners may use last year's uniform). You will pay for the uniform at the Parent meeting September 5 (order form at link below). We are now taking registrations and fee payments online! Just click on the link above or here, and you can pay your program dues right from your computer. Payments are handled through Active.com, which is a well-known and secure registration and payment service. By registering online, you will shorten lines at the parent meeting, and will save the board volunteers hours of work. Dues must be paid before the first meet on September 8. Your dues include LAHS bus transportation costs to meets, invitational entry fees, tshirt, bag for new runners and other costs of the program.
September 5 – Parent informational meeting, 6:30 pm at LAHS in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Meet the coaches, learn about the program, and pay for uniforms. Additional apparel will be available for purchase. We know it's the night before school starts, and will make the meeting as short as possible. You can download the uniform/apparel order form below. Uniform sets are $40 each, and are yours to keep. Returning runners may use last year's uniform. If you register and pay dues online (above link) first, you may use the "express" line at the meeting.

Welcome back to school and to LAXC! Thanks to all parents who attended the LAXC Booster Parent Meeting. We know it was a very busy evening for all of us and appreciate your patience as we test the online registration. It's working very well; next year we'll add uniform purchases to the online portion to further ease the process. It was nice to meet so many of you and we appreciate your generosity to support our kids.
We will be updating the website calendar in the next few days, and when the volunteer coordinators complete our volunteer schedules, we will add that as well. Please check the website each week to see what's coming up on Fridays and Saturdays during the season.
