Lon Morris Baseball: Jarrett Leahy

Position: Asst. Coach
Profile: Jarrett Leahy is in his first year as an assistant baseball coach at Lon Morris College. Jarrett will serve as the team’s first base coach and will be involved with player offensive instruction along with assisting in defensive instruction.
Prior to coming to Lon Morris College, Jarrett had spent the previous two years assisting the New Mexico State baseball program while also working in the Las Cruces Public school system. In 2009, Jarrett worked as the clubhouse manager for the Lancaster JetHawks, the High A minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros. Prior to that, Jarrett spent seven seasons with New Mexico State baseball program (2002-2008), first as the team manager and later as the Director of Baseball Operations. During that time, he worked alongside the coaching staff, assisting in the day to day operations and in team travel. He also helped organize and run the various instructional camps.
Originally from New Hampshire, Jarrett received his Master’s Degree in Education from New Mexico State University in 2008.   Jarrett also earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from New Mexico State University in 2005.
